guys just need some advise

I'm doing the 5x5 and it seems to be going well, but there are just some concerns,

my pendlay row always seem to push my body forwards and rest teh weight on my toes. its very hard to lift anything like this, i use basket ball shoes which tend to have more cushion at the heel, is this the issue?

also

while i do that exercise, i can lift 1 set then struggle the next but after i stop i dont feel that i have worked out at all. no aching muscles, no fatigue, nothing, i wait another about 5 mins and i can lift no issue again. this is in contrast to other lifts i do which immediately i can feel something.

anyone advise what to do?

You can try switch to chest supported rows. It's far more stable, safe and allows you to target the mid back more effectively.

Well it isn't "just for a day" I plan to do it continuously for a few months to experiment how my progress will turn out, in return I fear that it might affect my metabolism or progress, will it stall or improve? will I lose fat while.gaining weight? Or will nothing happen at all? , those are  rhetorical questions and assumptions. Plus, i see no harm in asking now is there? Since this is a forum and this question is the common everyday question....
*
Only the sifu of the sifu's would be able answer this question. lol

srs.

For strength it's completely useless. And please go study basics of BB/Strength training.

hi guys, i was thinking of diet to lose fat by doing low carb diet. i already started today. so basically what i am doing now is i consume calories around my BMR, 3g protein per my BW, 50 to 60 g of carbs and the rest of calories from fat. I plan to do it weekdays. For weekends Im going to eat at my TDEE, 3g of protein per BW, 1g of fat per BW and the rest of calories from carbs. Question is, im going to do it for 5 days, is it too long before i reintroduce high carb diet which is on weekend?
*
No need low carb, low whatever to lose fat. High carb, high fat also can lose fat. TDEE is key.

anyone help ~~~

as i started my cut, the same deadlift seems much heavier now for me , then noticed that my shoulder is dropping down during the deadlift, is this normal ?

i did a google search and half of them says its normal to drop down the shoulder instead of contracting the shoulder blade, it makes you able to lift heavier weight ( note my lower back and middle back is straight, only didnt pull my traps and shoulder blade together)

however some people will say sooner or later will cause injury on shoulder or i will start to round my upper back unconsciously ?
*
Your shoulder blades memang should Not be pulled back and together during deads. They shud slight foward into the natural position and u will feel stress in your mid back/trap muscles which are holding your shoulder blades there so they dont fall off/dislocate. All this is stated in Starting Strength.

rippedtoe and dave tate teaches different thing  hmm.gif

I'll rather go with Mark. It feels totally natural and comfortable.

Moreover, I really don't see the logic of pulling your shoulder blades back while pulling 400lbs off the ground... like wtf how u are supposed to even contract them??

Guys I am really skinny, my body type is like those marathon runner. I used to jog alot too few years back.

Few months ago I tried to build my body, muscle dint appear much. Could it be because of my gene? my DNA?

Is it possible for a marathon runner body to build muscle? Build muscle as in like sprint runner body type, bulk and muscular.

1. Increase food intake.
2. If it fails, repeat no 1.
*
0. Spend 1 month studying bodybuilding basics, read all bodybuilding forum nutrition stickies and read atleast 3 basic books on bodybuilding (http://scoobysworkshop.com/book-recommendations/).

Body factory gooding yo. The only complain is that they only have 1 power rack. I thought they should have known the importance of power rack, and at least put 2 in there.
*
Power rack can easily be sub with smith machine.

Power rack sub smith machine? Really?
*
Ya... my legs exploded after switching to smith machine squats. OHP also I use smith. Bench I just use the bench station. Some isolation work like skull crushers also I use smith.
It's a great machine overall.
Never needed a power rack.

Inb4 sissy.

Do you want to get the forum into trouble? Discussing illegal substances so openly?
*
I dun see discussion on steroids being illegal in Health & Fit Rules nor is it illegal to talk bout it by the law.

Which muscle/parts are being primarily worked for deadlift?

Some say lower back, some hamstring/glutes, but i believe it should depends on invidivual's build?

I have average, maybe even slightly shorter than average arms, and i feel only burn in my back. I even tried sumo DL. I do have issue in my posture, rounding my back due to never knowing to cut the lack from the lats.

But lets just say u wanna introduce DL to a newbie, which part u would tell him to expect burn?

Thanks to all sifus in advance smile.gif
*
Conventional is lower back/hams.
Sumo is mostly glutes/legs.

Me? I only do RDLs, nice and slow stretching the hams real good at the bottom cause fuark deadlifts.

And yea once the Deadlifts get 100kg> you will feel it in the traps... ALOT.

Thanks bro, will get it fixed before i proceed any further.

I can't do deadlifts with straight back (that's why I don't do them) because of very poor hamstring flexibility. So you might want to ensure that.

So fix ur hamstrings first. Lots of flexibility training out there and tbh, flexibility is something u lose when u do bodybuilding exclusively

Already strecthing 1 year+, almost 0 diff. Memang genetically been super tight since kindergarten.

Might need some advance chiropractic help which I cant afford. RDLs are fine for me.
