Im plan today want to update my iphone from 6.1 to 6.1.2 . My question is . Do i need to update usi OTA or firmware? Can i use the same evansion which is i hav jb my iphone 6.1?

I hv iphone 5 Jb, after sync everything to itunes then i straight update from 6.1 to 6.1.2, i will lose all the "apps" right?

The jailbreaking process would have moved several system files from their normal location and OTA update will fail. The only way to upgrade to 6.1.2 from a jailbroken 6,1 is to download the 6.1.2 firmware and do the restore process again. Then jailbreak using evasi0n 1.4 |

Think the key is to restore either the latest ipsw or the old ipsw then ota but why want to do the latter?

Apple no longer signs 6.1 so you cannot do a restore to 6.1 anyway. I'm not sure if having the SHSH blobs work in a straight forward way anymore so rather than go through all te hassles of trying to figure out what went wrong with trying to restore 6.1, it is better (I recommend) you do a fresh restore to 6.1.2 since evasi0n still works on it.Always keep it simple. |

hai...
im use 4s 5.1.1 allready jailbreak.. then i want to update 6.1.2... when i connect to itunes to update got error could not be update an unknown error occured (3194).. so how to solve this problem..? |

Currently at 6.1.2
Noticed for the 3G, if I turn it on from the Settings -> Cellular, it will switch from E to 3G quite fast Alternatively if I turn it On from the Sbsettings toggle, it will gets stuck in E and takes a much longer time to switch to 3G If anyone have similar experience do share This post has been edited by jesseblue: Feb 24 2013, 12:19 PM |

I updated my 4s to 6.1.2 last night. Straight forward operation. iOS also saved all the Cydia settings meaning that when I re-install the tweak, I don't need to do anything else. The App location is remembered, the SBSettings theme is back as before ... very nice.
Other than AnyAttach not working with 6.1.2, everything went well last night. I did a full restore by the way since I was jailbroken on 6.1 |
