yes I'm JB 6.1..thanks for confirming

if you want to update to newest ios you have to do a restore first

download the latest ios ipsw file for your phone (search it on the web;malaysia set is iPhone 5,2)

after that open itunes,hold shift and then click restore and point toward the ipsw

let it run and it will notify you if you want to restore your backup (if you have any)

after it reboot youre done...

*note that latest ios cannot JB so you have to wait till ios7

your iPhone will become unbootable if you reset factory setting in JB

you have to shift+restore back to use your phone ( by following the above method)

for some reason cydia show that I have Verizon iPhone 5...

is it normal ??

error 3194 happens when iTunes tries to validate the (.ipsw) and is unable to reach Apple’s validation servers

Are you trying to restore to 5.1.1 or 6.x

apple doesnt sign the old firmware anymore

so if you want to restore your iphone, download latest ios (Google it) and do a shift + restore using itunes

*do not update using ota or do a reset all using your iphone

apple sign latest firmware only..so if you want to restore you have to restore to 6.13 only

try reset network setting..or go here and see the first post on how to get carrier update without updating to 6.13

nope, evasion only support up to 6.1.2 only

i don't think you can upgrade to ios 6.1.2 since Apple already close the signing

best to JB it on 6.0.2
