i'm running 5mbps pack for +/- 2 years , down 2 or 3 times up to date , but TM resolved in less than 24 hours each time .... so , i have no complaint for it so far

Either upgrade to a higher package and receive free HyppTV or upgrade to 10 mbps at 179/month. Question is, this is registered under a different name, but I am managing the account now, how do I proceed to accept this offer? Do I call them or need to go to TM point as stated in the letter?

and then selected 'modify bundle' then clicked upgrade to vip10, the new estimated cost, monthly fee is 199 instead of the 179 offered in the letter?

how did you upgrade yours to the 179 deal?

Been keep calling them ton of times,
still none of them helps.
They said they can't do anything,
or maybe pay RM200 to downgrade
then reupgrade to VIP 10.

Just received call from TM yesterday 5pm..upgrade to VIP10 from VIP5 for RM20..which mean total RM169 for 10mbps..sounds good..

Waiting for their email confirmation now..the guy explained very details for this offer..

long time ago when using Streamyx, we hear that WAN ip address can affect internet speed.

so, today with UniFi will we have such issues? different WAN ip range affect internet speed?

my test on BIZ5, BIZ10 & BIZ20
turn on BTU during morning 9am-12pm will get WAN ip in range - 219.92.xxx.xxx
turn on BTU during afternoon or night 12pm onward, will get WAN ip range - 175.xxx.xxx.xxx or 203.xxx.xxx.xxx

then check ip location - http://whatismyipaddress.com/ whatever WAN ip range, the location is same, in my case =Kajang

do different WAN ip range given different performance (internet ping & speed)?

My guess is this offer to upgrade with a RM30 discount is given to customers who have completed their initial 2 years contract to keep them.

I myself got a call to upgrade from VIP5 to VIP10 for RM169 only last month (5 months after my contract expired) and I took up the offer. Prior to that, I have got 1 or 2 calls to upgrade too, but without any discount, so I declined then.

Some TM UniFi subscribers have switched to Maxis Fibre after completing their contract. If you notice in this thread, many forumers also posted saying they are waiting for their contract to expire then switch to Maxis, or even TIME. Hence, offering an upgrade with a discount is one sure way to keep the customer for at least another 2 years, provided the customer takes up the offer.

Maxis is better if you're not a heavy downloader, cheaper monthly + astro discount.

Btw any news on Biz5 rm30 discount?

Rattan, any idea why they offer discount RM30 for VIP20 permanently? They'll offering better speed in future? Or implementing quota?
