so there is merida and xds. xds more expensive slightly (around 150) but has ten gears compared to merida with eight

which one would you guys pick? will be dropping by to giant when i have the time but they are really unfriendly.

(penang)

if budget is seriously limited, i'd go with the one with 10s. like butthead says, no point spending 2.3k and then spend a little more to upgrade to 10s.

if u can squeeze a bit more money, or wait and save a little more, go with any of the major brands with 10s

any tire is same one lar... no tire is verified to be durable...

on the wrong day and the wrong shit... bad things will happen...

ask miao and his acclaimed GP4000s... i believe he will write a 5000 word rant essay on it....
*
that's right. sidewall tear, any tire brand might end up with same result la. i had a gatorskin, claimed to be one of the best puncture proof tyre. not even 1000km, koyak.

btw, please don't remind my of my gp4000s

Lol, I was in the same boat, but in the end, sizes may limit your choice and not forgetting the time of delivery.

U will be even more frustrated once u get into the sport and want more things that will set u back tenths of thousands. Or waiting for headsets to arrive like our resident cat Miao sir here
*
what headset? already got it la

skewer = http://fairwheelbikes.com/cycling-blog/pro...s-reviewed.html
bottlecage = definitely arundel mandible
saddle = spez sworks toupe

for the skewers, best to try them at the shop if can fit in or not. i tried a token on my sl3 + FR1, not compatible

hey thanks for the suggestion and link! I know there's tune and ax lightness in my lbs but still i just want to go and grab the skewers without bringing my bike sad.gif really aa skewers also got different sizes?
*
the threads on the rear shaft was not enough such that when the nut is fully screwed in, the skewer still couldn't clamp tight enough when i closed the lever

usually there's 10% discount. so that makes it 809. the toupe expert is 359 after discount. so if you can justify paying rm450 for 73g weight saving, why not right?
