QUOTE(mrjgx @ Apr 10 2013, 09:35 PM) miaopurr, how much is this one at GHS? btw, is your seatpost the single-bolt or two-bolt type? if single bolt, i don't think it's compatible with oval shaped rails. if u wanna to use this saddle, u need to get a new seatpost as well

QUOTE(minizian @ Apr 11 2013, 09:20 PM) Decided to short list this three bikes as my probable next racy bike. -Canyon Ultimate AL. -Spez allez race (the same frame as the sworks allez but with sram rival). -Caad 10 Racing. I am leaning to canyon cos it offered the best value for money in terms of stuff that i will get with the bike when compared to the other two. The shitty part abt canyon is they wont ship to aussie (can ship to kl first) and i am not sure about the frame sizing. Whereas the Caad and Allez i can easily walk into LBS and buy from them that came with support too if shit happens. Being said, i wont be buying from the LBS i currently patronize as they only carry super high end carbon bike. I am not really sure wanna stick to high end alloy or get a mid tier carbon bike like Madone 5.2/Pina fp quattro/Colnago clx 3(which my lbs carried). My cyclist friend told me to go all out when getting a carbon bike. What ya do if u in my shoes? go titanium

QUOTE(mrjgx @ Apr 13 2013, 01:59 PM) Anyone tried Assos s5 Mille? Heard it is a damn good bib for long hours on the saddle..couldnt find any bad reviews about it though. Would love to give it a try but not sure whether it'll be superior than Rapha? http://www.cyclingtips.com.au/2012/10/asso...bshorts-review/is this S5?

QUOTE(mrjgx @ Apr 13 2013, 10:34 PM) Ya that's the one. Finally some negative points about it.. but bib is all about fit and everybody else will fit differently IMO. err.... why did u ask for others' opinion in the first place then? just buy whatever yanks ur chain man. belum cuba belum tahu. when it comes to bibs, i don't think fit really is major criterion because bib shorts are elastic and follow our shape. the criteria you should look for are; location of seams, padding quality, shape and thickness, leg grips quality, shoulder straps quality This post has been edited by miaopurr: Apr 14 2013, 12:42 AM

QUOTE(butthead @ Apr 14 2013, 03:57 AM) wah...tat sounds like how a lady chooses their 'yee mah' pad man so damn complicated... i thought as long as have something covering your naked ass and a piece of bread like pad tat sandwiches your sausage, eggs and taco is enough adi??? life is so difficult man, because of all this racuns not that complicated la. the seams; as long as there's no seam line in the padding region, that's all. the older nalini and cheapo shorts had seam line right in the middle of the padding. risk of chafing la. the straps quality; sometimes they are too stretchy that it doesn't provide enough support. padding shape; spez's padding is huge that it tends to create a weird cameltoe when u wear it. too small also it won't cover enough ur coocoo (my demarchi). the quality; some padding are very good at moisture wicking, for example spez's ones. dhb's paddings are comfortable, but tends to get a little soggy.

QUOTE(Oblivon @ Apr 14 2013, 04:56 PM) haha, that would be extreme, wouldn't wanna risk puncture again. Wonder if most of you guys using stand pump with pressure gauge ? Will that help to get the ideal pressure ? yes i do. all decent quality floor pumps come with pressure gauge display

compare the specs side by side. give them negative points for any proprietary parts/design.
i'd go with either merida or giant
i'm leaning towards giant though

QUOTE(Mac Wai @ Apr 16 2013, 04:40 PM) Yeah, I really haven't thought of that, utilizing the leg room. Thank you oh wise-one, and reminding me not to be a confirmed sucker. So I will do without a rack for now, I was just assuming that most will have a rack around here try this you can even lean the handlebar bend against the headrest so that your bike is more secure. and this is my favourite This post has been edited by miaopurr: Apr 16 2013, 09:32 PM
