QUOTE(Dreamworks @ Feb 27 2013, 09:37 PM) Just updated to 6.1.2 from 6.1... Nothing different, annoying 3G dropouts are still happening Was hoping this issue would at least improve. Try reset network setting.mine was also bad after update but improved tremendously after a network reset.

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Feb 27 2013, 11:34 AM) Maxis' Edge is totally doesnt work. I migrated from Digi. Digi has excellent Edge coverage. Thought slow but it is good enough for notifications, whatsapp etc. When I changed to Maxis, I have to keep 3G turned on just to receive these notifications and messages. However I do understand that maybe Maxis has already given up on developing Edge as nobody uses Edge for surfing etc because it is too slow. So have to keep 3G on though it drains the battery. Have to keep the chargers on from now. haha, digi edge is no.1 in malaysia. i set my maxis to connect 3g only. no 3g = no service which better than it jumping between 2g & 3g consume more battery This post has been edited by says: Feb 28 2013, 09:45 AM

Have yet to see difference in battery usage for 6.1.2 ,
On the 6.1, I've tried setting my lock screen to Never and clash of clans on and then sleep. Battery dropped from 6x% to 1x%. Not bad. Slept for around 6 hours. Was using wifi instead of 3G tho

successfuly update my 4s to 6.1.2 not sure about battery consumption yet. (yes sir, I am new to iphone) Currently on and off with 3g and wifi. telco line at port klang is always bad for me (especially when yr house next to commuter railways) but so far in subang now the 3g and lines all are okay. Mine on 6.1.2
First test 2 hours 22 minutes. 71% left, wifi on, cellular data and 3G off
Second test, 2 hours 2 minutes 77% , wifi off, 3G on.
Not too bad I would say, I turned off my keyboard and lock sound, off location services to maximize the battery life.

iPhone 5,2 iOS 6.1.2.
On first update 6.1.2 through OTA, got severe battery drain even when merely playing songs at night (screen turned off).
Restored the firmware through iTunes hours prior, now battery life is much better. Gonna drain the battery first before fully recharge to see how it goes. As for now, everything's much better. With Bluetooth, 3G and location service turned on.

After updating to 6.1.2, massive improvements to my batt life. Yesterday I got 6 hours of usage, 1 day + 9 hours standby when it reach 4% batt life. I'd say a good 30% improvement.
