only DA 50mm F1.8.. or at most, might be Sigma 50mm F1.4 EX DG HSM if I manage to save some more my money. is it good? I saw great prices in mudah (1.4k). but Pentax2U price for sigma quite expensive sweat.gif

thats good.but the most value for money now would be the DA 50 1.8. Unless you can get the sigma for less than 1k.

If not mistaken sigma 1.4 is sharper than pentax 50 f1.7...even at f1.4.

by cheaper 30mm 1.4 you mean you compare it with the price of the 50mm 1.4 right?

Those who tried out K-3, how's the AF speed? Is it by any chance faster than K-5?

hi guys. can suggest me an affordable flash for beginner? want to start learning using flash now. YongNuo YN-560 II Flash ok or not? for K-r + kitlens only. preferable around <RM300 only. thanks icon_rolleyes.gif want cheap2 coz also think to grap a prime lens together

Mhhh... can get below 300?

From what I know it's a good flash to _learn_ flash photography... it won't do anything automatically laugh.gif It might be a bit too much though...?

I'm in China now... holiday. Every day take 40-50 GB sweat.gif My laptop is running out of space. biggrin.gif I'm already furiously trying to compress it all...

Get the DA 50 1.8 while they offer it for 400... really nice lens for the price. I have really started to like it. smile.gif It's great fun, and so small and light. Optically it satisfies me, but then again I'm easily satisfied. I also shoot while walking... trying street portraits which take like 1-2 seconds to take... while walking. laugh.gif

FA 50 1.4 not as good as the DA 50 1.8? Why?

at 1.4, it is too soft for my liking and as others in other forums commented, it is not uncommon. but if it is used around 2.8, it should be good. but of course, you buy a 1.4 because you want to use it at 1.4 right?

Mh... is there a way to rescue a 18-55 AL? I quite like the lens, but it seems like something sticky (some sort of juice from McDonalds?) got into it, giving the lens powered zoom (just press the AF button...). It happens randomly, focusing isn't smooth anymore, zoom ring moves with focusing ring and vice versa, sometimes it's fine, sometimes not at all.

Can it be fixed, and what would it cost? Anyone know a place in Shanghai that can do it for me? Next stop is Shanghai, would hate it to have nothing wide angle at my disposal. sad.gif 50 and 80-200mm are a bit... limiting.
