How much salary do i need to get 100% loan? 15k a month?

Really love the crz, but i need it for long term.

What do you guys think is better? A new CRZ or a used 2010 Golf GTI?
*
If long term, forget about the CRZ and the Golf GTI. Get a 4 door Japanese saloon which is reliable and have lesser maintenance. Both CRZ and GTI are just hobbyist machine which is not practical or good for long term. And if you are already worried about the dollars and cents even before plunging into the cars, you are not ready for them unfortunately, knowing that both these cars suck your wallet dry while maintaining them.
Have some patience, better cars will definitely come along in the future as manufacturers always strive to improve upon their products, you'd be better off saving money for a car (or a house) now for the future (better, faster cars etc) rather than slaving yourself to maintain one now, leaving you penniless all the time. nod.gif

Hi fellas, as u all knw tht the roads in Msia is terrible, my crz(stock) ride is very bumpy..do u guys recommend to do smth with its suspension? or the tyre?
*
Not whole lot you can do about it, stock suspension are already really comfy. Any comfier, it will turn into Corolla Altis, a sampan. At most, you can change the tyres, but I am not aware of any comfort tyres which suit our car unfortunately.. good luck finding.

Hey guys, last night my car's "Check Emission System" light indicator came on. Car hasn't even crossed the 1000km mileage yet. Any1 here had this kind of problem before with their Z?
*
Any mods to the car? If not then get your SC to reset the ECU this time round.

Nope. No mods at all, just stock. So after resetting the ECU, problem wouldn't occur again? Thanks for getting back to me, guys
*
No guarantees that it will not occur again, but note down this round of reset, if it happens a few time, I guess you need to get SC to fix something...
For those with mods, especially running either too rich or too lean, this error can appear....

any good dealer recommendations? my case is different..i wanna sell my current ride chevy and i am sure there will be a outstanding balance on my loan..lets say market price my car goes for rm70k and my loan balance is rm90k...after sell, i still owed rm20k to the bank loan..is it possible to carried forward the existing loan into my new ride let say its confirmed i am going for crz...will the SA use the existing loan on the crz? instead of applying a new car loan for crz...i googled it is possible..they called this type of loan as upside-down loan method..need your advise..
*
IMHO, probably you won't get that kinda loan. Assuming the car is RM110k, and u put 10% downpayment, the loan would be for RM99k, and top up RM20k balance into the loan, which then your loan will be RM119k, more than the actual value of the car. Not many banks would want to do such credits knowing that their collateral on the car is lower valued.
Best to talk to the banker directly, some bankers do allow if you have strong financial backings (probably use a bungalow as a collateral etc).
Good luck!

so the engine and gearbox DO "kacau" you guys la....

just like what happen to my Polo  sweat.gif
*
It depends....
If its a manual gearbox, NA engine, you hardly have any problems, definitely not DSG kinda issue. CVT, so far I have not heard any problems from other folks who have them. The only few cases of manual GB problems are for turbo/supercharger cars, and that too are due to user problems (masuk gear without fully depressing clutch etc), and not GB problems. It can be easily solved by rebuilding the GB as parts are available.
My CRZ is rated at 130ps on the wheels, everyday sure bounce off the rev limiter at least once, runs of 18" wheels (Ilyas can testify) and I do hard acceleration. I m still driving it, coming to 2 years now.
The only "kacau" i have is that it still does not have enough power.

130 on wheels isnt that bad at all.. boleh share secret recipe??
*
Its actually not a secret anymore, like what Ilyas mentioned, it is available in the CRZForum. Basically it is from the freeflow intake all the way to the very tip of the exhaust, plus changing the engine's head to Honda Fit and of course, Hondata to control and optimize everything that was changed. Pretty standard stuff NA mods stuff.
One advise, RON97 plays an important role too... it allows ignition timing to be advanced without problems.

The only variable here is your tuner... he needs to do a good job to get such HP figures.

Good luck!

Don't worry, you are not dumb coz I am not PocRoc unfortunately tongue.gif
But as mentioned earlier, the NA mods are no longer a secret in terms of hardware, alot of modders do the same thing, so the upgrade path for NA is a very well beaten path.

hi guys, I need your advice..i really like the crz since previous car was Honda ek 4 door b18c engine 200whp...since im travelling 100km a day from shah alam to cheras Selangor....so fuel saving is a must...car like crz can it save fuel like no other NA car right? example crz saves more than vios, civic, city, elantra, cerato, myvi, right???especially during jams coz i stuck in jams everyday...
*
My experience, probably I am not a hypermiller like Ilyas, is I get roughly 420km per tank of 35L, which translate to 12km/L. I would not count this as a great fuel saving car, as I believe there are even better fuel saving cars than CRZ, such as the iDSi Honda City, and based on what I have gathered, the dugong Vios trumps my car in terms of fuel consumption too. Heck, even my old Viva does a better job (at 14km/L).
Try the Prius if you are really into fuel consumption, you may be disappointed with the "Hybrid" badge on the CRZ. However, if you are into great driving and good looks (somehow, till today, I still get kids pointing at my car when I drive, not exactly sure what they say though), maybe CRZ might fit the bill.
Good luck!

hi, guys. just asking im a father with 2 kids 2 wif....1 wife, is crz is totally not right for me?coz many say im too old for that....im 30+++ and love motorsport is it wrong? racing is still in my blood....I've been driving b18c 200whp car for years. its an '99 old car but its fun to drive...but the car is sold already...to get a car other than Honda is like getting ur Samsung s3 phone downgrade to nokia 3310???so guys, what do you think????
*
Age is not a factor, I m late 30s, and I have a colleague who bought the CRZ for his wife, they are 50-ish now. blink.gif
It is whether the car suits your life or not, and not the other way round. Never be a slave to the car, coz at the end of the day, its just another tool. If your pocket is deep enough for a weekend car (with a spare normal 4 door MPV/sedan for family use at home), then by all means please go ahead. Most people who have CRZ will have more than one car parked at home; and people who have only one car, usually it won't be a CRZ due to its impracticality.
Sometimes, for the sake of the family, racing blood will have to be put aside, most petrol-heads I know have to cast their car thoughts away while they bring up their kids, or until they are fit enough to get a second spare car.
Good luck!

thats spring plus absorbers. what spacers r u using and does it rub?
darn penang is cheap. how can i get it shipped to where i am?
*
From his pics, still got a lot of space, don't think it will rub.
I am using adjustables coilovers, and 18"x8J also still not rubbing, but need to be careful on selecting the correct tyre size.

coz want to make sure run in is done correctly...so that the engine is in really good condition...
*
The Sports mode button does not change the car's engine to a more ganas version... it merely remaps the throttle to feed more fuel at a certain pedal location, plus lessen the steering's assistance. You can still drive sedately using Sports mode... so no issues using the Sports mode now.
If you insist to run-in the car (hardly a thing to do these days since they already wring the engine to redline to test the engine at the factory), you can use all 3 modes, but accelerate slowly. It should be fine...
Enjoy your car!

yup that's what im doing now...rpm no more than 3k rpm..im at 600km already and im getting 16.3 km/l for hway...13 km/l for town...is this normal?
*
Better than mine already... the best I get is 16km/L, the worst is 9km/L.... so you are in good shape. Some folks I know can do much better, but I am not really into hyper milling.
