what does Auto Wiper Switch mean i saw from the brochure that CRZ has an Auto Wiper Switch.
*
Auto Wiper means it has rain sensor which the Wiper would activate as long it detects water on the windscreen

if you want a honda, and a hybrid... get the civic?

thinking of getting insight because it is most optimum in term of cost and size..

considering crz because we both like it...

if go for civic hybrid.. hmm.gif dunno why didn't consider that.. not really fancy, like uncle's car.. oh.. my nick is uncle^R, maybe suits me rolleyes.gif

new Civic not really nice without some BK and mods... even then, not that nice. perhaps wait till next year, the 2013 Civic launched in US looks much better than the current Civic. hopefully we will get that in msia then you can get that.

Lets put it in context :

1) I drove FD 2.0 for 6 years and found the power more than sufficient
2) the FL, driven only for 2 days. Tested it mainly within 2-3K RPM
3) Feels nippy and eager to move. at some times, maybe more eager than the FD.
4) does it mean more powerful? hell no, just means that the electric motor really helps with the very low RPM and getting off the line from 0KMh.. so from 0-30KMh it feels alot like the FD or maybe slightly better.
5) I have not stepped on it and make the car scream to 5-6k RPM

My expectations:
1) in sports mode, until 60-70kmh, i think it can be about the same as FD 2.0
2) above 70, I think, the FL will lose out. the FD is really sweet between 80 to 120...
3) now, will the S+ help? maybe, but I am not hopeful.

This is only my initial perception... will know more as i drive more in the weeks to come. after 1K service I will test the upper RPM range.

As long as the Lady in the house have a 4 door car to drive, or have a 4 door car as a spare, I think your options to get a CRZ (or any other car you like) is open anytime. It does not matter much if it is a Myvi or a BMW, most ladies do not think so much about the cars anyway (they worry more on their makeups and handbags, and Robinson's sales).

The CRZ will lose out to the FD 2.0 as the speed and rpm goes up, it runs out of breath as the Rpm creeps to 5000 or more... thanks to the small engine capacity. Low rpm, electric motor helps a lot to keep the pace up, but once the motor runs out of juice, the FD will soar by....
BTW, would like to ask, did u do any dyno before on your FD 2.0? Would like to know what kinda power does the FD deliver on the wheels?

thats true... cr-z is good for short bursts only. a fully charged battery (pre FL version) can only last me to the 3rd corner up genting. sweat.gif

bro, dont have to save your rpm till 1k service lah. smile.gif

never dyno my car b4 smile.gif.. i am not a car mod. but i did read temple of Vtec asia that the FD 2.0 does 130 on Dyno, giving it a 15% power lost due to transmission. which is better than some manual! the 1.8 has a higher power lost.

My Z, i will probably mod it a bit to give it a bit more muscle after 5 yrs warranty and by then, my wife would have gotten her choice of cars. She wants some SUV painted black with a big My Melody head on the bonnet just to irritate me for getting the Z tongue.gif.
exactly why the Z works for me, I dont normally push my car to very high speeds for long periods.. usually just short burst or over taking or merging lanes etc. for this purposes, the Z is perfect.

That is why i m looking for CRZ also, i wanted a sporty car but dont need to be super fast, responsive and agile is good enough, with the benefit of ok fc and not very high maintenance cost.. thumbup.gif
