QUOTE(ibnuasad @ Feb 6 2013, 10:33 PM) Commanded value means the value given by the ECU to the throttle plate servo.Measured value means the actual measurement of how much the throttle plate is opened. Ie, if the throttle plate is jammed or clogged, a measured value will be less than the commanded value. |

QUOTE(dares @ Feb 6 2013, 11:57 PM) Commanded value means the value given by the ECU to the throttle plate servo. Now I understand Measured value means the actual measurement of how much the throttle plate is opened. Ie, if the throttle plate is jammed or clogged, a measured value will be less than the commanded value. The throttle discrepancy between BLM & FLX could be just because of the difference in ECU mapping QUOTE The reading is relative. 13% on the potentiometer may be fully 'closed' in terms of throttle. On some vehicles this also represents the idle state (on these vehicles 0% would mean fully closed throttle - no air=engine stall). source |

Disclaimer: These sohighness effects could all be placebo as I have no proof nor data to support it. I've discovered this all because of a stupid accident, and I like the feeling. I thought I wanna share this affordable add on for the rest of budget modder and placebo worshiper. If you find no improvement in your car after install this thing please don't blame me. Placebo are subjective, my butt is different than your butt, so you have all the rights to complain you don't feel shit that I felt. Anyway, grounding cable will not do harm to your car unless you short circuit it with POSITIVE energy(even without ground cable your car still catch fire when that happened). So, having the cable in your engine bay will only make things better and no harm done after all(again, unless you short circuit it). Do remember I'm not responsible for any damages caused(if any lar, ground cable yo), use at your own risk. |

If yu examine our Gagas, there's another similar engine hook up front...on LHS. how abt using that one? It's nearer...also connected to cylinder head...thus providing a shorter route/line of lower resistance? Also a shorter cable/lower DIY cost/easier install, etc., etc.... Juz a teenie weenie suggestion nia... |

That's why me posted that question... pps. For easier plugin & removal, me applied (using cotton bud so as not 2over apply) WD40 to OBD terminals. Now got smoother plugging in & removal lo... ppps. Wonder why Proton not hv ignition-controlled socket...rather than a forever LIVE one as is? Another save cost item? How much savings here? |

It's nearer...also connected to cylinder head...thus providing a shorter route/line of lower resistance? Also a shorter cable/lower DIY cost/easier install, etc., etc.... Juz a teenie weenie suggestion nia... Reason for not using that 1 is bcoz its NOT any nearer compare to the back ones. Another concern is, wire route need to be fasten, and the front hook no place for me to fasten besides of exhaust pipe(do you really wanna fast anything on the extractor?). Therefore, even the "accidental discovery" I had the other day was also accidentally clamp the wire on the back ones, would never thought of the front one. If the other day my accident was the front one, I think I burnt my car ady cos the wire would have felt down and ignite by the extractor liao |
