Quite confem today, after yesterday night took out the "accidental ground cable", I can notice the throttle lag is obvious again. The subwoofer is "burping" again, as aircon kicks in, RPM will drop until the car felt like shutting off sleep.gif Next project is definitely Ground Cable!!! yawn.gif I knew some will say its not related, I oso can't explain it as previously ayam as well disbelief GC & VS will effect engine performance. Ayam impressed by the butt dyno and willing to let people call me an ignorant, but I know what I want for my butt. flex.gif
*
Hi Bro YAB... notworthy.gif

GCs definitely is effective for esp say 5yr+ cars...

Proven VERY clearly when VS & all GCs were removed fr my ole gen Saga (20+ yrs old) b4 pickup by new "buyer"! Engine shook so badly that driver commented out loud!!
NB. Engine was running smoothly on test juz the day b4 sales... tongue.gif

Even for present <2yr old Gaga, me cld feel/hear diff in audio of stock HU & spks...with both VS & GCs. thumbup.gif

ps. A GC fr neg Batt3 terminal to cyl head is 1 main effective connection. thumbup.gif

Ok Ok! Here's the detail sleep.gif It was a super silly mistake. I was wondering how does it look like if I hook up LEDs on the hood, so I used my jump start cable directly connect from battery, pull the jump start cable all the way to the hinge, use duct tape hang both cables(+ve & -ve), and the cable clamps on the super bright LED H3 bulbs. After the soft test run, immediately I unhook the positive cable, meanwhile I clamp the negative cable on the lifter hook(near by purge valve on AFM, got 1 engine hook for lifting up engine), plan to keep my positive cable first only come back and clear up the mess. Mana tau, kept the positive cable, come back immediately forgot the negative cable and busy pulling off duct tapes blush.gif After that been left the cable clamp on the engine hook whole day until night time sweat.gif
*
Yup, Bro YAB... notworthy.gif
Yu did exactly that! ie yu made a very good low resistance (highly conductive) GC fr batt3 neg to cyl head (where eng hook is located) ... thumbup.gif

hi bro zeone,
saw your post here
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...&#entry45196469
and are you still using that OEM ABL module??
or you already change it to proton ABL module (which some forummer here say that we can unlock our door using the reset button)??
because my newly bought 2nd hand car seems like the previous owner already install it(auto brake lock)..
but i couldn't found it on the boot...

here is a pic (sorry..take it last night..so it wasn't so clear  blush.gif )
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

there's one black box and the product number is PW856127 (i assume this was the alarm right??)

and to my knowledge the B-Line for BLM 1st edition(without signal on the fender) doesn't include a reverse sensor also right??
but mine have... rclxub.gif
so my conlusion maybe the previous owner install another alarm module which feature a auto brake lock and reverse sensor...
which i found it on the driver side door panel...but i'm not really sure what it is sweat.gif

so the MAIN question is...where can i buy this "original" proton ABL module
and are the "original" proton reverse sensor include in the proton "original" alarm???
or it is what i can see from your picture...seems like there were 2 black box in there...
while mine only have i black box(PW856127)
*
Hi Bro... notworthy.gif
To ans yr questions....
1. Yup, me still using same OEM ABL module. No probs.
And it uses the Alarm Reset Button 2open all doors if locked with ABL.
2. Mine is PnP nxt 2Ori Alarm Module in boot.
3. Yup, my FL has 2 separate modules w/in same bracket in boot ie Alarm & Reverse Sensor...both come as Ori..
4. Yr conclusion might b correct but need 2do some unplugging of the modules 2confirm which is what....& which controls what...a process of elimination...?

Btw this is my ABL module version box....

Me saw many such cables but on closer exam, the actual wires were actually thinner than our 3-core 13A electrical cables !!
Probly can take heavier load due2 much lower voltage... blush.gif

ps. Me made my own jumpers by combining all 3-core of 30A such cables (meant as aircon cables)... tongue.gif

Home electrical voltage is 240V, the P=IR yields you similar wattage despite car jumper wires has 300A capability.

12V x 300A = 3600W
240V x 13A = 3120W

And home electrical cables take long term load, like 24/7 for years. Car jumper cables are intended for temporary use only.

QUOTE(wanfauzan @ Jan 29 2013, 09:33 PM)
do we have like filter at the front grill to filter the dust? if not, why bother seal the gap? maybe can improve airflow to the intake?
*
Nope, Bro...no filter there... rolleyes.gif
However, if yu hv close look @design of intake "mouth", it has a sloping "lip" pointing downwards towards the grille.
This, IINM, is 2direct airflow upwards from grille up into intake opening....

IINM it's more 2prevent water being sucked it...rather than dust.... whistling.gif
Of course, dust is also reduced as a side effect of having less inroads...true?

In other words, airflow is NOT meant 2b straight/directly from bonnet gap!
That wld cause the prob of rainwater, running down the curved bonnet, being forced in2 intake opening..possibly resulting in a mini "flash flood" of sorts in air filter box...etc...etc...if yu can picture the subsequent effects of that...
Can?

Anyway, it's a very cheap & simple mod...with nothing 2lose...
Maybe something 2gain? During heavy rain situations...& worse if at speed?

Juz think...
If there is no positivity in this seal addition, why wld P1 go2 xtra expenses (etc) 2install as std 2newer FLXs AND 2add. 2existing FLXs? hmm.gif

ps. Any "healthy" contributions 2abv discussion...let's hear them, Bros... icon_idea.gif notworthy.gif

Hi Everyone... notworthy.gif

Pray allow me 2take 1 & all down History Lane....

1. In early BLMs, wat is the air intake "mouth" like? Was there the specially designed "lip down" mouth design?
Or was it juz a simple oval opening?
Me rber some1/some shop promoting an additional "sp designed intake mouth" with this "lip down" feature after FLs were introduced? Me saw pic of the added piece for sale! Supposedly 2improve/direct airflow intake?
2. FLs (& perhaps later production BLMs?) had this extra lip down feature as std...
Becoz when me saw the advert, me went 2hv good look @my new FL. And saw it oledi had that "lip down" mouth intake feature!! tongue.gif
3. Later when FLXs were introduced, the "lip down" feature still there...no changes.
However later production FLXs had that extra Big "D" type rubber seal across front of intake mouth! Why the addition?
4. Then those FLXs not fitted with that additional seal, were subsequently upgraded by SCs with the seal...WITHOUT their owners asking 4it! FOC!!
Why? Is P1 becoming more generous & charity driven w/o a good reason?
YOU tell me.... tongue.gif

Points to ponder?

Over 2yu, Bros....let's share views... rclxms.gif thumbup.gif

Last month i go service my car at sc, .................then i ask about the rubber seal, sa check our cars chassis number say both our car is not in the list, then i ask, not all FLX can have it meh? because latest batch FLXs got rubber seal as standard, but at last he paste for us FOC and just ask us to sign the receipt. So i dunno is it all older FLX can have it FOC or only some older FLX in the list?
*
Hi Bro... notworthy.gif
TQ 4abv info! thumbup.gif

Was there any difference in the design of the Air Intake Opening of that FLX which they added the seal for...?
Hv yu compared yrs with the latest batch of FLXs ie those that came with the seal as std/stock?

With those comparisons, then we can make a factual/technically based conclusion lo....cheers.gif
