anyone has done your alignment + wheel balancing?
1 weeks ago when i do my 10k service, the technician told me that my car shows sign of uneven tire wear, so they send my car for alignment and balancing, cost me RM 65 |

QUOTE(jfcheong @ Jul 12 2013, 11:12 AM) It is recommended to do alignment balancing with tire rotation 10k km interval. If the SC doesn't have the equipment or provide the service, u can just send to any tire shop to do that. The cost is more or less the same. ok, seems like i didn't get my head choppedby the way, the uneven wear at front tire is quite visible, tire rotation every 10k is highly recommended |

QUOTE(imifun @ Jul 12 2013, 11:35 AM) I did mine and cost me RM89. tire swapping, and after that I had to send back to SC cause they didnt tighten some nuts. Anyway, is Toyo tire good? I was quoted RM475 a piece in klang i'm guessing it is a Toyo Proxes C1S right? C1S is more toward comfort & low noise ride |

QUOTE(robinyan @ Jul 12 2013, 01:16 PM) Hi light up, thanks for the heads up buddy and when you mentioned vibrating sound coming from the engine. Would you mind to share it in details? Cause all engine would have vibration especially when our car is on idle mode / stop at traffic lights. opps, my bad, the abnormal vibration sound can be heard when engine is idling, or rev ur engine to 1.4~1.6k rpm, or when u release throttle, the sound should be like "grrr... grrr... grrr...", quite obvious |

QUOTE(Rich_Lim @ Aug 29 2013, 08:53 PM) Supplier may offer us a new magnetic type instead of clip on, but prob is we have to wait for supplier to come down.. Been ages ok, thx for the info..maybe the number of order is not attracting the supplier to come over, we may keep updating, see anyone of us, especially newly joined 408 member is interested in it.. QUOTE(wjchay @ Aug 30 2013, 09:52 PM) Guys, hi there, it is recommended to pump our tires at 250kPa, as mentioned in manualI got my 408T almost 1 mth now. I notice that all 4 tyres lose pressure quite quickly, I.e. last night I pumped 220kpa, tonight check only left 205kpa, yes all 4 tyres. However the week before the rate was -20kpa each tyre in 1 week. I'm monitoring them more closely now. These tyres were manufactured 41 week of 2012, which I think quite old as I just got my car for less than 1 mth ago. Any advise what I should do? Do you think the SC will replace my tyres? Thanks. |

QUOTE(yhchai @ Sep 9 2013, 10:07 AM) Same issue with my 408T exactly a year driving it. Happened about 1km from my home (max temp, stop/warning sign, etc) but I continue driving it. After the engine cool down, I checked the coolant and engine oil level. Everything was fine so I suspect it must the some temp sensor problem. So I drove to CSL the next morning. They got it fix within 4 hours replacing the water cooling system (cost about RM400 +) under warranty. Everything is fine now so your case sounds like it's not the engine overheating, but it's the temp sensor gone crazy |
