I changed my rims too. Its wasnt that hard to find. Here is a website for you to have a look. As long there is a will, there is a way.

Lenso Sport Rims

[attachmentid=3352434]
Rims with thin spokes do not suit this car at all. It will look much better with thicker spokes with a bit of design. Thin spokes make the car look very cheapo and like a typical Ah Beng. Pls dont forget this is a conti and modding it to look Ah Beng is really poor taste.

Also keep in mind that upgrading to bigger rims may not be a good idea. Alot of effort goes into designing the correct rim size & design for a car. Its not just for esthetic looks only. The suspension set-up and handling of the car can be affected by changing the rims.

Also dont forget that bigger rims might improve handling but reduces ride comfort significantly especially for rear passengers. You will feel bumps and road undulations much more.

Also bigger rims mean having to use lower profile tyres which again reduces your tyre's impact resistance. Low profile tyres are more prone to side wall damage and blowouts compared to normal tyres.

In short, i would always advice ppl to stick to their stock rims. There is no real reason to waste money in replacements just to look different from others. This is the typical Ah Beng / Mat mentality. Being different doesnt always mean it looks better. Once u start modding your car, it never stops. In the end, whatever value u got from buying an affordable car with good specs goes down the drain when uve spent such alot on mods.

Im sure there are more important things to do in life than mods. Spend your money wisely. I dont think any of us have bottomless pockets.

(P/S: This is just a general personal opinion. No disrespect intended)

Cheers! icon_rolleyes.gif

Agreed. The pursuit of performance, or comfort, or looks will never end once modding starts. Spent a lot on my previous car, just to sell it at the same price as the car without mods, maybe less.

Now I'm just keep telling myself to be satisfied with what I have, and not pursue something that will never end. But the urge to mod is killing me lol tongue.gif

if you've upgraded your rim and tyre combo, please have your ecu recalibrated at a svc centre. otherwise your distance to empty or fuel consumption readings will be inaccurate as well as your odometer and tripmters etc.

good advice, but beauty is in the eye of beholder. one man's poison is another man's cure (or something like that). Personally, I am all against any sort of mod, more so to think we are better than the french peugeot designer. But then again, it is your car, just like your house, and it is your money, so suit yourself, have fun with it, what ever thrills you plenty, do it plenty.

p/s my NA has the most basic rim, but i just heard the tyre is RM425 per piece. So save some dough can be useful, don't over spend?

Yup we know that and i agree. But some fellows really ruin the car by putting on really ugly rims just to look different. I saw a 408 on the road last week with really crap cheapo looking rims and spoiler (hope not a LYN member). I mean why bother buying a conti if u wanna give it a Ah Beng look? Im really against ppl who dont appreciate their car and ruin its image and design direction simply to look 'different' from others. Some even start putting all these HID lights where it doesnt belong.

A Conti is a conti and u can really differentiate the design direction compared to Japs/Koreans. Its got this mature yet exclusive look so why ruin that look? Ppl just gotta know the difference between making something look 'better' and making it look 'different'. Being different doesnt always mean better and it usually isnt.

Same with some of the K5 on the road. The rims are already good enough and it enhances the car's overall image but then u have some goons who put on cheapo looking rims and there goes the whole sleek image. doh.gif

Sorry. Just ranting out of frustration. biggrin.gif

Guys, FYI

CHANGE IN GLENMARIE SERVICE CENTRE OPERATING TERMS

In our continuous effort to ensure the best level of service to our customers, we would like to inform that with effect from 15 March 2013, our service centre in Glenmarie will operate strictly on a 'by appointment only' basis. The service centre will however allow walk-in for emergency cases which must be determined by the service centre manager and those without appointment must park their cars outside the building to provide priority to customers by appointment.

Customers can also visit our other 5 centres in the Klang Valley for service / repairs.

For a full list of centres, please click on this link: http://www.peugeot.com.my/find-a-dealer/

unfortunately nope. their peugeot sport range is solely for motorsport only and you can only buy their stuff if you are going racing. but they have apparels etc. which can be bought by the public. i look at it as an unrealised opportunity.

they have rims for sale though and you can find some at the glenmarie boutique but as these are oem manufactured, they're oem priced too. but oem means you get rims that are not the last word in lightness but strong on durability and best thing is, those rims (oem) are designed to work with the car from the design stage itself.

Just change my front main & dipped lamp to Philips...below is the price, bought it from forumer mayalab. I just DIY it, not so difficult except the right lamp a bit difficult for my large hand to reach..

Philips X-treme Vision H7 - RM165/pair
Philips X-treme Vision H1 - RM130/pair

Dun hv time to take picture, maybe later...but can see the light beam longer than stock..or maybe becoz it is brighter than stock.

Question: What's the different function of both main & dipped lamp?

Mr.KnowItAll,

General personal opinion just keep to it yourself. We dont need you to tell us how we wanna spend our money. Comment as you see it fit doesnt work here or you might need some help, lead you to K5 thread?

There must be a reason why thin spokes created and I change to thin spokes. Stop judging by appearance. Ah Beng? cheapo conti? I never bother how other car looks like. Only the driver characteristic should be in concern. You should learn this too.

And dont simply quote other ppl's comment. Not many ppl care what you wrote anyway.
