yes but it won't save any juice as your phone will not go into deep sleep. now I know why you are having problem with your battery life.

Haha just finished some work, started to read. Hmm... fruitie you DON'T want mobile data on during screen off. You can leave wifi on and mobile data off, this is a better choice. Wifi has a super low power mode that can still pull yr data while in sleep. It is typically better to run wifi wherever there is wifi.

On xda there are methods to revert to old bootloader. tot31 likes to syiok sendiri for his counter tongue.gif

Erm, but my battery in Settings menu did show my phone was sleeping when my screen was switched off despite data and WiFi were turned on. hmm.gif
However I do believe that it did drain a bit but rather than not syncing anything in background. sweat.gif

whenever i check on OTA update, it just keeps on checking

how should i update it to 4.1.2? any ideas?

you are rooted and in the system status it might be stated as Modified. that is why. Forget about OTA just go to sammobile.com and register and download the latest Malaysian or what ever country of 4.1.2 and update it using Mobile Odin Pro, by that way are still rooted and still having your old bootloader... thumbup.gif

Rooted phone cannot receive OTA update anymore. smile.gif
Use Mobile Odin or PC Odin to update. Download the official ROM from Sammobile site and flash it manually.
That's the easiest way for me. smile.gif

I'm not a radio engineer tongue.gif but I think when your wifi connection is ALIVE, the datastream routes via this connection. Your 3G radio is still POWERED though. That is why in the bad old days (before N2 with 3100mah), turning off 3G was the primary way to save power.

yup you are absolutely right, data on radio does consume more power than wifi.

yes, i read that but can't find any info saying the 150 days promo will be on that date....huhuhuhu..just subscribed with uploaded.net 2 days ago vmad.gif...this service is much better, I will subscribe to it then..
