I was quite happy with DLL7 + Romow Extreme v1.0 but just itchy hands and wanna try other official ROM.
Downloaded Romow v2.5 as well but still lazy to shift my stuffs. Let's see how this stock fares later and will decide to go custom or not.

You should use Deep Sleep Battery Saver Pro then. It works well for me. You can set it at any interval during your screen off to wake up your wifi to swich on. I just set it off means that whenever I switch on my screen, my wifi will auto connect and all my Whatsapp messages will be coming in.

Worth a try actually and if you are not happy with it then you can go back to any stock or custom roms that you like.

Flash to official ROM will not root the phone.
Yes, just use PC Odin, easy peasy.

yes, the flash counter will not be flagged if you flash any stock rom with PC Odin. Just a tip from me, backup all your important data and do a full wipe ( I always do this just to avoid any problems, I like to have a fresh clean start ) but actually you can just flash it without any wiping of your phone.

Yes, me too always wipe clean everything. Either official or custom ROM. Wanna make sure I experience 0 issue.
Eh this Thai firmware will not clean wipe? I think I read somewhere just now that it will clean wipe. I hope I read the wrong thing.

Yes it controls both Wifi and Data but for me it seems that my Data will not turn off so I'm using 3G Manager to control the off and on of my Data.

any of those emmc bug or some sort like that with the stock kernel?

I recall miloy2k (the guy with a wife but has a "female" tag) said SC at his place (Sarawak I believe) mentioned that the latest update (DLL7 ??) may have screwed up his wifi.

I'm not familiar with TA, so can't help you but probably tot31 can.

I am not sure about that as I always use Mobile Odin Pro to change any stock ROM and I will always tick Wipe Data, Cache and Dalvik Cache and all the options on the EverRoot fields.

Good, I just need that when my screen is switched off, then data comes active. Once my screen is switched on, WiFi comes active and inactivate data if this logic works.
But at least, my mobile data must be switched on all the time when my screen is off.

Since DLL7, the Exynos exploit and emmc bugs have been fixed and regarding the new bootloader that TA can't reset, I have read a lot of posts at xda regarding this but uncle benny said he had tried and TA can reset so I can't confirm. I am taking a safe side not to update my bootloader to the new one, just in case if it can't be reset I will not be screwed....
