As for my case TM activated the speed within 24 hours after called 100 for upgrading, tech came just to verified the output and getting my signature.
If you guys aware or it is just me, my snr in 8mbps cukup-cukup makan between 15 and 18 which previously I am getting more than 28 in 4mbps. Is it normal more port been opened snr will drop? however I don't have any issues with connection. |

QUOTE(holpkasten @ Jan 31 2013, 11:39 AM) I see, as what I am thought as well. The attenuation just great around 15 but the snr is going down, as long I am getting good speed and no disconnection issues that would be good enough. |

QUOTE(x-1o8-x @ Jan 31 2013, 04:39 PM) snr and attenuation is affected by modem? generally no, but some ppl find it changing to another modem did improve something a lil bit. Save your money as snr and attenuation represents the quality of TM cabling network at your current location. mine now for DL snr is 7+, attenuation 40+... feel like calling to ask to check the port, but if modem also affects it, i might wanna change modem too.. cmiiw |

QUOTE(x-1o8-x @ Jan 31 2013, 04:45 PM) hmmm i see... guess i should call and ask then... it doesnt pose a problem for me but i noticed sometimes my IP address has changed which prolly mean the line was dropped. worried after they fix it, my data rate will become 8mbps instead of the current 10mbps are you currently on streamyx 8mbps subscription? |

QUOTE(x-1o8-x @ Jan 31 2013, 04:50 PM) the tech should advise you first not to upgrade as the bad readings you got there. To my understanding snr below 15 you'll get frequent disconnection and your attenuation is saying your house is too far from the cabinet. And the surprise is, you are covered with 8mbps when some ppl with great snr and attenuation does not. |

QUOTE(miezaidin @ Feb 10 2013, 12:56 AM) "V" if i not mistaken means upgrade to M-SAN...not related to Exchange/MDF anymore..this kind cabinet can be 4Mbps...port also here..ect..at my place My nearest TM cabinet is tag as V-003V, printed on top of it. This is considered as the 2nd cabinet. a year back I seen the contractor laying cables within that cabinet and a sign board saying TM is laying HSBB network, I don't expect unifi is coming as my area is a kampung area. But since the laying new cables taking place, TM is offering 4mbps and I am 1 of the early customer subscribed to it, and the same goes to this 8mbps. I guess I am getting the benefits from the new infrastructure. (TE VF5001,TE VF5002,TE VF5003)-Temoh M-San,(TLK VF5001/2/3/4)-Trolak M-san,(CRG VF5001/2/3)-Chenderiang... "F"..also fiber...but E-site control by exchange/MDF....port also control here...etc..SK F005-Sungkai Fiber....F311-fiber Behrang 2020... |

Just to share something to those kakibola in hypptv
QUOTE TM, Astro seal deal on sports channel Telekom Malaysia Bhd has signed a deal with Measat Broadcast Network Systems to broadcast its Astro SuperSport HD and Astro SuperSport 2 HD channels, which will include the widely-followed English Barclays Premier League (BPL), on TM's HyppTV service. Measat Broadcast Network is Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd's wholly-owned unit. TM chief executive officer, Tan Sri Zamzamzairani Mohd Isa, said the collaboration would see HyppTV carry more sports content, effective today. He said TM acquired only selected BPL matches from Astro, and HyppTV would air six out of the 10 BPL matches on the Internet Protocol TV service (IPTV). "The additional sports content will definitely boost our existing sports package, in keeping with our promise to deliver the best to our viewers, they can still watch TV when it rains," he told reporters after signing the agreement today. Zamzamzairani said HyppTV, the fastest-growing IPTV service in the market, has now expanded its reach from only UniFi subscribers to Streamyx's four-megabit per second (Mbps) and eight-Mbps users, making it accessible everywhere on multi-screen devices. "We are now having a promotion until end-September, whereby users can subscribe to our sports package for RM30 per month. For those who register after September, they will be charged RM50 per month. "For current customers who are already on the RM30 a month package, there will be no additional charges," he said. The IPTV service has a total of 110 channels, comprising 25 free-to-air channels, 49 premium channels, 16 video-on-demand genres as well as 20 interactive channels. Following today's event, HyppTV's sport package would now offer 13 channels.-- Bernama Read more: TM, Astro seal deal on sports channel http://www.btimes.com.my/Current_News/BTIM...l#ixzz2ahqFdHAG |

QUOTE(vez @ Aug 1 2013, 10:37 PM) unifi hypptv is on different line right? i mean for unifi 5M package, hypptv will not using the 5M bandwidth I am about wondering the same, in the hypptv faq it does stated something mention related to thishow about 8mbps streamyx? separate bandwidth for free hypptv as wel?? QUOTE 10.12. Why does the speed of my Internet connection drop when I use both my broadband & UniFi service at the same time? This problem should not occur as the video service and Internet service are using different ‘channels’ in the network and are independent of each other. If problem persists, kindly contact our TM UniFi Centre hotline at 1-300-88-1222 and we will be happy to assist you. QUOTE 10.14. How can I utilise the full bandwidth of my Internet access? You will always be utilizing the full bandwidth capacity of your Internet access independent of whether you are watching HyppTV service or not. http://www.tm.com.my/hypptv/Pages/support.aspx#tvosfaq |
