QUOTE(blacktubi @ Aug 27 2013, 06:48 AM) Just to let you guys know HD channel use up to 3Mbit Is HD available for streamyx users? I am quoted the original statement from the hypptv FB when one of the users asking about HD availability for streamyx. QUOTE Dear Eric, we appreciate your concern about HD CH. on Streamyx Platform. However, FYI HD CH. is not available on Streamyx. We do understand the confusion to customer base on the branding for HD Ch. because we are recieving it from content provider with no alteration. Technically if HD CH. be made available to the customer it will have direct effect on your bandwidth counsumption, hence you will be experiencing poor internet browsing as a result of shared & higher bandwidth consumption. We will update all of our customer if there is any upgrade towards HD Ch. in future with Streamyx. Thanks. This post has been edited by powerwoot: Aug 27 2013, 09:08 AM

QUOTE(squall0833 @ Aug 27 2013, 02:47 PM) in fact... B4 upgrading from basic 1Mbps package to blockbuster 1Mbps, they gave me a modem, even though I already have my own better one. last year upgrading from Blockbuster 1Mbps to Blockbuster 4Mbps, the contractor gave me another new tm modem, I said I still got the previous TM modem still new in box, he said just take it, I have two TM modems new in box now consider yourself as lucky then, I am getting innacomm modem during my 1mbps subscription and replaced it with D2640B in the same week. The last 2 subscription of 4mbps and 8mbps I asked personally to the contractor if I am entitled to any new modem, they said if the job order doesn't state new modem to be supplied to the customer means I am not getting a new one. They said each installer is supplied and have to record any movement of assets that is belongs to TM, any discrepancies to the record the contractors have to pay for it.

QUOTE(pokchik @ Aug 29 2013, 11:25 PM) 1 question - when i registered for 8Mbps via 100, the CS mentioned that i have to wait for 1st bill showing RM160/8Mbps, then use that and show it to TM Point to claim my HyppTV STB.. is that true? noted on the username/password, @vez.. and @powerwoot, seems like my recce gives good result.. hihihi.. To my understanding, once you are under 8mbps accounts you are entitled to it as they can check into the system of your current status without need to bring on the 1st bill.

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Sep 10 2013, 09:24 AM) How is it? Do let us know. By the way, 8MB streamyx is really 8MB when tested with Speedtest. When I use 4MB streamyx, speedtest only show 3.3MB. We are getting fully 8mbps as TM put the cap higher at 10mbps. As for 4mbps the cap vary from ngam2 at 4mbps or 5mbps the highest.

QUOTE(psy8hillme @ Oct 1 2013, 01:19 AM) Sorry I'm kinda newbie in this particular subject. Right now I have 1mbps streamyx, and I'm thinking to upgrade it into 8mbps. Is it possible for me to do it with this attainable rate? Does my SNR margin and attenuation good for it? Consider this, basically good. But these are from your 1mbps, for the same SNR as yours while I am on 4mbps, radically down to SNR 15.5 when I am upgraded to 8mbps. The best check with TM for 8mbps availability at your area, usually you'll get some period of trial before the installer come with the blue form.

guys,
just bought D-Link DSL2730E replaced the old DSL2640B. Prior to this, I find that my SNR improved from 15.x to 21.x. Overall I find my internet is much smoother compared to the previous.
New to myself, how VLAN and 802.1q could benefits us the streamyx users?

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Oct 10 2013, 11:56 AM) My SNR dropped to less than 10 Definitely TM's problem, I checked the wiring in my house and tested multiply modem That's bad, must be they're doing some maintenance at your area.
