Mika : Base on the image you post, that was the STB for Unifi, 8Mbit using a different "cheaper" version STB. wink.gif

as what I heard from the forum other than LYN, the STB offered to streamyx users is much more advanced, have good wifi built-in and using android as well.

Here is our prasy's review about the unit  http://prasys.info/2013/05/a-closer-look-a...mobile-devices/

I am one of the trial user. biggrin.gif

Basically, its android, but its awfully slow, the interface are laggy.

Takes a while to change channel, browsing on the interface for TV guide is slow.

The original interface is okay but the HyppTV app is ridiculous, badly optimized.

One thing for sure, it support streaming from other device, which I love it tongue.gif

but i do have friends using Unifi watching hypptv, and the unifi still fast as usual, check with speed test still reach still good.

i just want to know whether 8M streamyx is shared or separate because i wanted to upgrade my 4M biggrin.gif

Shared but the HyppTV don't use plenty of bandwidth, not sure if HD or SD too.

I still get 8Mbit on speedtest

yup, just plug in by using the RJ45 ethernet cable to the ADSL modem or enable the wlan and I find this unit has good reception which could detect my neighbour's wifi at >100m away from the unit  rclxms.gif
any USB mouse and keyboard is working to this unit, but at some setting we need to use virtual keyboard activated from the RC, else some characters won't be visible.

Chrome browser is working fine over there to surf the internet  smile.gif

Booting and GUI is smooth too compare to my current openbox  tongue.gif

I don't have any comment on IPTV itself as mine haven't activated by TM yet, the staff at TM point said I've to wait 24hours for this

How you install chrome browser?

I want to install YouTube app

Hypptv picture quality seems really bad on my eyes. Gosh.... thank god i didn't easily 'terpengaruh' to subscribe for premium pack by their customer service officer at tmpoint during collecting my stb from them this morning. sweat.gif

Perhaps they lowered the bistream value too much until all of sd channels look really blurry and not sharp at all.  Hd is not hd at all. More to youtube 480p based on my observation. But wait, hypptv on unifi seems much more better than via streamyx. Maybe due to dedicated bandwidth (unifi) vs best effort or shared bandwidth (streamyx).

Mine is really clear. For your information, it takes around 10 seconds to get cached or buffered then you get super sharp image

How about TV Al-Hijrah? TM stated that it was exclusively broadcast with HD format via hypptv (regardless of platform) but unfortunately when I tune to that channel I only got the downscaled version with letterbox picture appear on screen...  rclxub.gif

May I know what is your average buffer for SD and HD Channel? According to the info bar, when I tuned to SD channel, buffer shows 1300Kbps to 2500Kbps while for HD channel, it fluctuate between 3800Kbps to 5600Kbps

Some more, why I'm getting most of the channel albeit I only subscribe for basic pack (17 channels)?  hmm.gif Is that free preview for one month like Unifi?

Here's my speedtest result (ping times seems quiet high for local server, maybe it's due to interleaved mode?)

Anyway, sorry for too many questions...  notworthy.gif

Anyway, my HyppTV able to auto detect my username and password, I don't even need to enter myself

I guess because when I receive my device, TM staff record my HyppTV serial number.
