The pricing difference from ABS - PBT - Backlit is very small. Imagine RM 299 for ABS, RM 329 for PBT, RM 349 for backlit.

I'm not too keen on the ABS board because the right shit key is non standardized and hard for most people to replace it. So PBT would keep the board looking new for a long time.

wht do u guys think about Vortex KBT Race 75% with cherry red switches? I do a lot of gaming and typing.

MX Red may be a little weird (many typo) for some ppl when you first tried it. Give it some time and you should find that the switch actually nice to type on (except you have really above average powerful fingers, then black may sound more suitable).

any more opinions about Vortex RACE MX cherry red 75%?
is it durable? does it give any weird problems? are cherry reds the best or it all goes on what you prefer? and lastly do you think getting a mechanical keyboard knowing it is expensive is worth the money?

I became a mech keyboard warrior only from last December, and I can say that it's worth it, for me at least. The feeling itself is different.
I'd say if you spend at least 2-3 hours in front of your comp per day, you should invest in one.

About the Vortex RACE, I can't comment much since I've never touched them. But I can tell your about the Red switches..
It's actually one of the favorites for gamers along with the Black switch. If you read more about it, you'll realize that it does not have a tactile feedback which is probably the reason why most gamers prefer it (they spam a few keys). Black is really heavy to type on. People who are typing generally prefer the Blue (super noisy) or Brown switch.
I personally prefer the Brown key due to the tactile feedback it offers..

Regardless of whatever switch you choose, you'll have a grace period of adjusting to it for awhile (a week for me) where you'll make lots of mistakes. But nontheless, you'll learn to appreciate mech keyboards and there's a 99% chance you won't switch back to a normal membrane keyboard by choice.

yeah I head a lot of people prefer brown and it's quite famous... that is what I am wondering what if I dont like the red switches? hmmm. n yeah I do you my PC for more than 6 hours a day, sometimes even more. I usually write long reports or play online games. Mind telling me what brand u use and how much u got it for? you can PM me if you don't want to disclose the price here.

I game with MX Blue and it works lol, I like the feeling as well.

Other than the spacebar row, the rest are interchangable, if I am not mistaken.

And also the 1.5X modifiers(Ctrl and Alt to be specific).
