Apparently MX Brown Switches aren't really what i fancy for
sweat.gif
my hands easily make and mistake here because its rather too soft for me....
>_> well i am using BlackWidow Tournament Stealth Edition 2013 so i guess not much quality key caps here or it is just that brown switches are really soft?

the features are neat and i get it for RM135 so not a single complain just that i feel it still softer.
a big leap for me since the last keyboard are Gigabyte Force K3

so sifu here,
should i let go of this mechanical keyboard(which i can still resell at RM240 at my friend) or should i just test around first?
*
use it for one full week/month. if still don't like, then sell it

The RK9000 usb socket is not recessed like the Coolermaster one your picture so its a weak point.

I move my keyboard out of the way now and then to make space for books/papers and other equipment and it fell once or twice because I placed the kb on a pile of papers at the edge of the desk. Not a big risk here but could happen again.

Whats more likely is that I might drop something heavy right on the usb socket and break it. So the usb socket part is weak and lousy and won't work for me.
*
heck even my Filco broke at the wire connection part even though it's hard wired, and I didn't even move the keyboard that often.
Now i will only find those keyboards that have cable routing grooves, at least there is no stress at the wire connection.

Like backlighting? Like simple look? Like glossy?

You can also consider the CMStorm keyboard line, like QuickFire Rapid, TK, or Trigger

Yeah backlight is nice... Not glossy thou... the more thethe selection .. The more the confusion... I wanna
Add blue/brown switch for me
*
Well in that case, you can find QuickFire TK here in Malaysia for Blue/Brown/Red switch.
For Rapid and Trigger, I can't find any MX Blue and Brown switch here in Malaysia sweat.gif

Want to ask, currently only ducky keyboards (other than SS) are using cherry style stabilizers? others so far like rosewill, filco, CM, Razer, Logitech or Corsair all using wire type (not all wire type are costar-made).....
*
CM Storm Trigger, QuickFire TK, Corsair K60/K90, Logitech G710+, Rosewill RK9100, Leopold and Ducky are using Cherry style stabilizers.

My friend just bought the TK, while the backplate reflection on the backlight is certainly amazing in the first glance, it also made the switch misalignment problem quite significant. Overall quite solid, but definitely not the choice for those picky perfectionists. tongue.gif

Wanna ask. Has anyone tried SP mods with OEM base? Is the height difference significant that makes it unusable?
*
I think not until the point that it will be unusable lah. more like a wee bit ugly

lol, think about Razer orbweaver.
Shortest range between alphabet and mouse. On the fly switch profile make it become a numpad ==
*
but thing is, you don't type on Orbweaver/Nostromo.
Also I saw some reviews mentioning that the Orbweaver has lousy D-pad and not-really-comfortable placed space button

Why la Rosewill. This keyboard has standard mods =.=

You only created one keyboard with non standard mods and I happened to buy it..
*
Rosewill didn't make the keyboard lol. RK9100 is made by i-rocks.

But too bad CM distributor here does not care to bring in MX Blue/Brown for CM Storm QFR. Which means if they want Tenkeyless of those switches they have to go for Ducky Shine 2 which is way more expensive.

Thinking of getting a red switch when I get back to KL. Been doing some research and I like Vortex's 75% Race although I'm also considering QFRs and Filco's MJ2.

Can any owners shed some of their experience with said keyboards?

Much appreciated, thanks!

I have a QFR red switch,it is a very solid and nice board. It should have the best quality:price ratio among your choices.

so in other words, if I use o-tings on a red, the bottoming out sound will be dampened?
*
Yes, but that alters the typing feel too. Some people (like me) don't like the feeling, and rather live with the clacking sound. Well actually I find the clacking sound quite satisfying tongue.gif
