as far as i know, utar graduated with hons degree which can apply for local universitys for further studies eg. masters...where as if u wan hons degree from campbell, u must top up one month in overseas else u just get basic degree..correct me if i'm wrong...

UTAR offer degree programme, TARC only offer advanced Diploma programme!! Thats distinguish between them!! If I need only to pay annual fee of RM3000 to obtain a degree in TARC, who will study in UTAR?? Notes that UTAR & TARC are under the same management!!

Years back b4 UTAR is established, some courses in TARC do offer Overseas University degree. (U just need to sit the exam in Malaysia by paying in tht foreign country currency.) Surrely, those not so famous University.

Most courses now,if u want to obtain a degree in TARC, u need to go overseas fto do a top up programme!! There is a loan with 9% interest rate to assist u provided u have reasonable good reasult.

If u worry that u can't obtain PTPTN loan to study in UTAR which I think is not difficult to obtain. Go for STPM or Matriks to enter into Local university which I think is the best option for u.

Anyway, whetner Advanced Diploma in TARC is difficult or not, is varies on individual!! I have never fail in my Advance Diploma till date & I m not a good student. Some students who is smart that study at last minute can score AAAAA

So.. to put it in a nutshell, if a person wish to get into master level, he must go to take top-up programme at ktar or go to utar in order to get honours degree lo; else if a person just wanna "cincai"ly graduate without thinking going further to take master, he takes an advance diploma cert or BS degree programme during ktar is already enough lo?

teochevon dun need to wori much abt the PTPTN loan ... if u borrow the loan during diploma and after diploma u wan to go UTAR there u can borrow again and the loan u borrow during diploma dun need to pay back 1st juz go to the KTAR office get a form to delay the payment tat will do so u only will start paying back the loan after u study all the course ...

and about the industrial training .. depend on wat course u study ... some course not compulsary to go industrial training one ... if u asr from SAS it is compulsary to go industrial training ... the training will be listed by the college so u choose from there and juz apply juz try ur luck lo hehe ...

1 main reason is utar is still new. so most of the course they provide is also new.

Im not interested in UTAR.. I hope if anyone know where got the study loan provided please let me know.. I hope I can get into KTAR in this May

wat loan u wam to ??? wat u studyiny now ??? if at KTAR diploma lvl u can get PTPTN which is very easy to get and if in advance u can apply for TARC loan ...

I want go KTAR. I want apply loan for my living expenses which might need 15k

Btw if you study and graduate with diploma at KTAR, not sure now but you can apply for UTAR with advance into 2nd year of degree course but some subjects can't be exempted. You do however pay only 2 years of fees in UTAR instead of 4 years thus save a bit of money as KTAR fees are way cheaper.

Overall after getting your diploma you can stay on for 2 years more for adv diploma with degree or 2 years more at UTAR for the degree. Anyway good luck with your studies.

i dun think those loan tat u will get enough to cover ur living expenses ... if u r entering diploma lvl u can apply PTPTN loan which max u can get is 10k for 2 yr .. and the fees for diploma lvl is around 5k ++ ... after tat if u cantinue to advance diploma u can apply for TARC loan whihc is max 7k u will get so the fees u need to pay is around 5k also ... so i dun think if be able tp cover all ur living expenses ... in fact no matter where u go study the loan u get will not able to cover all ur living expenses ...

im a diploma student in KTAR now... doing 2nd yr diploma in techonology (electronic engineering)... i hate tarc's engineering course alot now... lots of lecturers are students who just graduate from tarc's course and cant find a job outside... dont even know how to teach >< good lecturers are all in adv diploma...

plus, TARC's diploma + adv diploma isnt recognized by LAN... and their engineering degree is not certified by BEM (board of engineers msia) coz it's a top up degree... BEM certified degrees are all 4+0... no 3+0 or top ups ><

however, TARC's best course of course is their accounting with ACCA... my mom is an officer in SBS office as well... she says tat the only school in TARC tat is well run is SBS (school of business studies)

for other courses, recommend u go to UTAR as their campus is newer, lecturers are better (better qualified to meet LAN standards), smaller no of students in lecture and tutorials, new lab, new lecture and tutorial rooms etc...

but i not going to utar after my diploma in tarc... im going to UCSI as their fees is not too expensive compared to UTAR's...

not really sure bout how good UTAR is in engineering sector but u can expect a lot of new stuffs since their new campus in Setapak is just newly built. neways, to thread starter, usually ppl opt for TARC coz they can't afford to go to private institutions that costs a bomb. if u want, u can apply for PTPTN loan in ur diploma year, i believe these 2 years is enuff for u evaluate on which road u should take after ur diploma, either the top up program or UTAR degree. so just say, when u enter UTAR and u got ur ptptn loan rejected, u can always opt for Kojadi loan from MCA, but take note that their interest is quite high, last i heard it was 8%.

Ex-TARCian here... UTAR is still new with the course provided is still rather new. However all the (or shall I say most of the) EXPERIENCED lecturers from KTAR is now in UTAR.

In terms of recognition, KTAR is still well recognised for it's high standard. So STUDY HARD!

Employment, it really depends la to the students. They may be smart in study but when in speech, all tongue tied. Some witty in words but study wise, so so ok. It's all on how you carry yourself. Being balanced, not being too nerdy and not being too loyar buruk..
