QUOTE(propusers @ Jan 23 2013, 10:27 PM) I spend around 400 in groceries in 2 months... but only refill stock once every 2 months... if ask cashier divide the bills to 50 each... sure kena scold by other ppl in the queue... hahahaa so groceries category not so suitable for me Buy up to RM50 each time is sufficient. ... why buy until RM400 at one time ? When Tesco had the RM5 discount for RM100 spend, I did 2 trolleys worth RM100 each.

QUOTE(titanic_crash @ Jan 23 2013, 11:24 PM) if I perform 10 transaction and each of it RM50 and with 10% cash back, it is only RM50 cashback? how to max the cash rebate to rm100? different category can or not? You can always do RM100 x 10 transactions to maximise RM100 cash-back per month.

QUOTE(andrekua2 @ Jan 24 2013, 06:09 PM) Stop bashing... If you can't spend that much, you're probably not the one HLB is targeting. Therefore move on to your ideal card. There's no free lunch. +100 If you don't like the T&C, apply for a "better" card.

QUOTE(tbheng @ Feb 16 2013, 04:26 PM) Applied on 1st Feb and received the card on 14th Feb. GST already charged into the acct. Will keep the card and start using only from 1st March. Anyone know if HL has the sms alert upon using the card? Can set limit to RM1? Update: Called CS, the agent said the sms alert is there for all transaction regardless of amount. I had to submit a form (send by snail mail) to get SMS Transaction Alert for my HLB Essential activated for transactions >RM1.

Everyone just got their card and not even their CC statement generated. Let's wait for the "guinea pigs" to report their result somewhere next month.

QUOTE(guy3288 @ Feb 17 2013, 11:35 PM) i think we better dont consider the split bills as 2 transactions. However if you can do the grocery in 2 transactions at 2 different counters and arbiterary after an interval of 3o mins, i think that would be okay. Definitely not the way i did it the other day, 2 swipes at the same counter , worse , within 3 mins only! So make sure you add in another transaction as security measure. I totally agree... HLB is run by smart chinese lady. Don't try to "outsmart" cos you could be "outplayed" later on.

QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Feb 21 2013, 03:11 PM) Cheng... Cheng.... Cheng !!!!!! The hidden traps of HLB WISE uncovered !!!! There is no way you can earn 10x min RM50 transactions qualification for CB via Hong Leong Connect bill payment under Utility and Mobile categories. HLB always behave like a cheapskate bank. We can always pay Mobile bills from vendor's online portal, right ? Maxis allows E-Billing Payment with any Visa/MasterCard
