Morning Previans.
Any one try before, double tap on paddle shifter to change to manual mode without using gear knob? i try it on my 2days old preve and it working.. it same like honda city that using paddle shifter. but preve one is more responsive using manual mode. biggrin.gif
*
although its on D mode, the paddle shifter can be use.. but it will go back to the auto D mode when it reached certain rpm. its to protect the cvt belt.. but in manual mode, it will take longer for the cvt to upshift once the rpm has reach.. it will not be smooth.. if u tend to try a fast and furious style, give it a try.. smile.gif

I've sat shotgun in the car before. Try to fiddle with the settings. Problem not the voice. Issue is the routing and where exactly you are when the turn is coming up. I also used the external gps given with my exora.

After trying both, I give up on Lockatoo.

Manual Preve is non CFE unit right? Same as that used in Waja and Persona since long. The only difference now is that your GB is now a Getrag unit instead of Mitsubishi. The TCU activity is based on input from the ECU. These two buddies talk if they are in the same house (car). That's is why auto to manual conversion is very straigtforward, potong wire only, as compared to manual auto conversion for TCU controlled auto GB.

Were there issues with the Waja/Persona Campro (Non CPS) with new (hardware not firmware) ECU? Your ECU settings should be the same as those cars. Doublecheck with Persona owners using the new ECU....... unless you are now running high lift cams, high compression race ported head like the R3 race car. Then you may need to something else.

Turbo and NA ECU settings differ. Possibly the low end ignition timing for the CFE has been raised in accordance with the TPS.

TCU CVT update seems to be for the engine braking which although I have yet to experience on the Preve (still waiting for my car), I value in the Exora CFE and Waja Mitsu Invecs GB when entering a sweeper. It does not engage with Neutral throttle. I used to drop from D to 3 for the Waja for even more engine braking akin to downshifting on a manual GB. A possibility with Protronic.

Does the TCU CVT firmware update shift up now instead of shifting down when the throttle is closed?

helicopter sound is owes becos of lousy finishing on the disc brake, uneven disc brake most probably.. maybe u drive and wear out the uneven part maybe the sound will gone but u wan compromise ur safety to this shit? Last time my dad go SC kecoh then they die die fix the disc brake temporary for me, i think they grind the uneven part.. but now the helicopter sound still persist if i brake at more than 100km/h... i dunno is ABS or not.. cos ABS i tried before is like u can really feel it at the brake pedal there one.. dunno the abs got so intelligent or not..

it just my assumption. haha i maybe wrong.

first - improvement of my car pickup - very significant
second - all my HU setting reset to factory setting
third - i actually ask them to reset for me last time, but they said the device is not available that time. maybe while my car left in that SC they got thier device back to reset the ECU

or say my assumption not correct, if the ECU not remap? is this possible all these improvement comes after they replace the things that related to my car OVW problem?
btw i satisfied with my car pickup right now... thumbup.gif

im planning to get preve CFE around mid/end of this year...
got anybody can verified that critical problem report from previous batch
is already solved? (heard got a number of problem on 1st batch)
currently i got EB CFE on my hands (my mom's EB, but i drove it)
got a few critical problem...i guess they use same engine and tranny rite?
maybe the major different is wiring and ECU/TCU program only...

* i dunno why, despite all the problem, i still want support proton...aiseh...

I guess you're right, the pickup improvement is significant, definitely its due to ECU remapping. When you drove your car with latest ECU, you'll feels like totally different car (1 dull and delay car, 1 responsive and powerful car)

However, for my case, after my Preve gone through the remapping process, my HU setting still remain, nothing was reset... hmm.gif

morning guys,

im from the lyn waja thread. have a couple of questions regarding my sister's preve cfe auto (clocked <10k mileage).

1) whats the average FC like? she's a light footed, mixed urban driving. she's averaging around rm0.20/km or 9km/l. is this normal?

2) apparently, the preve has stalled (mati enjin) a couple of times while idling in traffic. again is this normal?

3) there's a intermittent sound while braking (soft or hard) at a certain speed (not sure, lets say 80kmh). i've never driven her car before but she describes the sound being akin to driving over those annoying little speed humps on LDP and KJ station

thanks a bunch guys
