QUOTE(tineagle @ Mar 17 2013, 05:21 PM) already done it. but still the overall vibration i get from shell is less compared to other petrols.. Try voltage grounding cables, and perhaps follow up with firestorm. It does help for me. Engine mounting DIY just solve parts of the culprit. We need to think of something to solve the vibration caused by gearbox mounting at the bottom connected to the surface. We are just reducing it at now by doing on both left/right engine mountings, it isn't complete yet

QUOTE(Darkcloudz @ Mar 19 2013, 09:40 AM) dude, u choose to buy proton so bear with the QC problem la. no point u argue here wat. just calm urself down. 1 thing u need to have when buying proton car is = be patient. Lots patient Please refrain yourself of posting that way. I can see that Proton is improving, else they would not climb up the after sales of JD Power automobile brand in Malaysia. They were scoring around on 630 marks a year b4, now they did 720 marks last year. The highest is still BMW at nearly 800 marks. For all vehicles within warranty period, there is lengthy procedure and time frame for service centre to handle the claim, etc. Its part of the process, its happen everywhere, and every brands.

QUOTE(maverickng @ Mar 19 2013, 10:24 AM) torres bro, among the 1st batch buyer same as me dont worry about the airbag,if the airbag malfuction there will be a airbag warning signal pop up at ur SID for the airbag harness check, they just wanna check the socket wiring under seat is proper tight up happen to some preve, the airbag wiring stuck at the seat when user moving the seat, this cause a airbag warning signal pop up some info on airbag(page 13 for airbag harness) http://www.ngycp.org/state/ky_clone/ngycp_..._Airbag_Sys.pdfIts mainly because of the height adjuster of the driver seat. When the seat being lowered to maximum, it may apply extra pressure to the airbag wire hardness that may cause malfunction in long run. The service bulletin is to inform all service dealers to reroute the airbag wire hardness so that irregarding of any height adjustment of the front driver seats, it will not affect the functionality of the driver seat side airbag. And also why no recall for passenger seat, as there is no height adjuster to begin with. Cheers

QUOTE(sanadi @ Mar 20 2013, 12:23 PM) Why not try resetting your throttle. I got this from Prevec FB. This can help with throttle lag [attachmentid=3355045] A simple voltage grounding cables should do the job. A reliable voltage stabiliser + voltage grounding, even better. (Make sure a reliable one, very reliable)

QUOTE(Darkcloudz @ Mar 20 2013, 05:35 PM) oh my! windscreen is costly man! Windscreen isn't costly, to replace a windscreen on CFE is just RM800 inclusive of labour. IAFM+ variant would be cheaper

QUOTE(sanadi @ Mar 20 2013, 03:22 PM) Yes, but this is FREE! Nothing is added or removed. Not as good as grounding cable perhaps, but if it is good enough, then it is good enough. If it is not enough then you can add grounding cable. I prefer to try the free options first. Well I believe when someone try something better, they will hardly look back. I doubt many people will want to try that everytime they ignite the engine, its a good try none the less.

QUOTE(CooShyRee @ Mar 20 2013, 03:26 PM) any of u guys upgraded the HU 2 a better unit??? i know it voids warranty, but i do feel the current one is somewat lacking in features, also such a waste of space wit such a small screen in that quite big compartment. im not a preve owner, but i tested the HU, n feel it could be very much improved wit a better unit.. It does not void warranty if it being done correctly. The method to upgrade HU to a better unit is to purchase power socket converter of Bosch to the HU brand you desire. Eg. Pioneer, Alpine, etc That particular socket may cost you around RM80 to RM100 each, it does not involve any wire temper. This is safest method to upgrade your HU without voiding the warranty. Everything is just plug and play.

QUOTE(Pace @ Mar 22 2013, 10:20 AM) Have to compare FC between NA and FI Preve. How much worst is the FC for the FI Preve or similar? I recall Waja Campro FC also not that good compared to 4G18 Waja. Campro isn't FI to start with. Just a DOHC NA vs 4G18 SOHC NA. Preve NA, more like a 1.6L 1.4 ton sedan FC...while Preve CFE more like 2.0L NA 1.4 ton sedan FC In highway, the FC is much more comparable

QUOTE(Pace @ Mar 23 2013, 11:31 PM) Anybody who has done german sausage and can really feel the difference? I got it done this afternoon and feel that it is worse or the same than stock. Maybe too tired from the labour. Or is there a danger of overtigthening the zip tie and squeezing the hose smaller? I believe u did it wrongly. Cable ties are to hold the hose from expansion, do not change the hose shape. It has to be improvement, I guess u need to check all the hoses properly. Are they being tighthen perfectly?

QUOTE(Pace @ Mar 23 2013, 11:59 PM) I think I need to redo it again. Seemed to have overtighten particularly the main hose. I guess finger tight would be enough. What is the recommended gap between each tie? Used about 150 ties. Leave around 5cm space between metal clamp n the first cable tie. Else it will not be properly tighten to the intercooler, gas leaking.

QUOTE(mat79 @ Mar 24 2013, 03:46 PM) try to use mode that easy to revert back to original for easier claim for warranty in the future. Of course, its normal to any man want to modified their cars, even ferrari owners also like to modified their prancing horse. :-). I only can tell u one thing, when choosing to equip cfe cvt preve whether with 6 @ 7 speed software based ratio, it seems for them(the engineers involve), 7 suit preve pretty well compare to 6 since its lighter than exora. But if they decide for upcoming variant with manual 6 speed, it will be the best :-). N r3 preve iafm+ easily outpaced cfe on track, he...he... If iafm+ r3 can be so good, then cfe will have a lot room for more power

QUOTE(Darkcloudz @ Mar 24 2013, 10:55 PM) its CFE enigne characteristic bro. the engine using a clutch type. like your manual car. Its the gearbox actually, not engine. The characteristic of this cvt, to ensure smoothness pickup with D mode is to press gently to let the car roll abit, only by then apply more force to accelerate. Its unlike normal torque converter gearbox

QUOTE(Pace @ Mar 25 2013, 01:42 PM) Thanks Allen. After much thought whether to redo it or not, have decided to abandon this mod. Checked with a caliper with the zip ties on and after I took it off, it is about the same +-2mm. My fingers and nails still hurting like I climbed a tree like a cat. Better redo it bro, unless u going for stainless steel pipe mod. Cable ties are to hold the shape from expansion, just dun over tighten it will do. The increase in performance is really noticeable. Just worry that there was leakage between hose and the clamp, so u get even worse performance. This post has been edited by allenultra: Mar 25 2013, 04:41 PM
