QUOTE(remonx @ Jan 16 2013, 07:17 PM) I didn't complain just want to learn more about wakelock only. Next time show wakelock when i in full idle mode. About wakelocks http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1878828To do more, you need to run a sniffer. As most of the regulars here have said, just use the phone....no need to worry about wakelocks unless your phone runs down 50% without any activity. You're an engineering student right (or was it someone else?)? Carry a battery bank, or if you have access to electrical measurement equipment, you could run some consumption tests and let us know what you think. For those who have a taste for linux : steakikanhttp://www.phonearena.com/news/NubioKite-F...for-413_id38771The Italians from DaVinci Mobile Technology are now taking preorders for their Nubio Full HD/Kite HD tablet, which boasts a 10.1" display with the respectable 1920x1200 pixels resolution, a 1.4 GHz quad-core Exynos 4412 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage plus a microSD slot, and a 2 MP rear camera. The tablet is also fairly thin at 0.37", and weighs just 19 ounces Ubuntu's version is 12.04 for ARM processors, and the Wi-Fi version of the Nubio Full HD slate will be going for EUR 309, which is about $413, not shabby at all, and you have to put about 10% down for the preorder.

QUOTE(andrewtho @ Jan 16 2013, 08:24 PM) but it will prevent the glass from falling apart no? Gorilla glass is tempered glass, but internally compressed, so it will crack in large slabs as we've seen in many drop tests and that nice info video from Corning.

QUOTE(steakikan @ Jan 16 2013, 08:51 PM) That's a very wonderful things, one day u can customize any os on any smart phone Personally I don't think that's really going to happen without a generic BIOS as what happened in the Wintel world. However, with innovative people like this DaVinci bunch, we will get some of that sort of thing.

QUOTE(Oldskolboyz @ Jan 17 2013, 01:02 AM) Totally diff apps inside the unit even run by android & not compatible with ours one.. kena before Sony Xperia, it not fake sony, the unit I got everything same as ori frm Os, hardware, ram, memory & etc just apps cant used here, updated... only can make/received call/sms & email. Surf web need to go china server using "match" apps then can go to google.. if direct using google search apps phone wont work... warning message will pop up then disconnected... Really? That is very bad. Did it work "normally" after flashing a stock international rom? no wonder the China variant of the Note1 was i9220 and it had a different bootloader which crapped up Chainfire's unit last year.

QUOTE(Noobi3 @ Jan 17 2013, 01:44 AM) If i am not mistaken , google is kinda banned in china . Like their Android phones dont come with Play Store . Dunno y . Only option is to dl the apk online and install it . Good afternoon, time for lunch now? Yes, Google is a bastion of freedom while the Bamboo Curtain doesn't want any counter-culture elements despoiling the beauty of 2500 years of unbroken history.

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Jan 17 2013, 02:07 AM) but what the difference with the samsung tectitles ? No real idea, but the basic technology is the same. You write some value to the tag, then when you tap it, the app reads the value and executes the stored tasks you defined.

QUOTE(Noobi3 @ Jan 17 2013, 02:40 AM) Not on their own but they do popup on concerts once a while like the SM Town concert in Nov last year. Oh ya, another maker has decided to follow note's series. 5" phablet with stylus n wacom screen. For now still a concept but who knows. www.concept-phones.com/nokia/nokia-lumia-quad-core-5-inch-phablet-wacom-stylus-windows-phone-9/ Nice...but Nokia using M$ stuff - M$ is the top in line for crapple-wannabe. Expect a nice curated experience from them as well.
