tcmean: it will be interesting to see some performance of N4. i tweak a couple of things and here is my Quadrant benchmark: 5011.

this phone should be able to beat Note 2 in term of performance. however, the default Note 2 running at 1.6ghz while N4 just 1.5ghz, make our CPU running at lazy mode. moreover, Note 2 has lower screen resolution. when i get more time, i will add some wicked CPU governor into this beast and potentially overclock it as well. laugh.gif

ps: oh ya, if i put in the Bionic optimization, the CPU benchmark will fly!

There are technicians in every Digi service centres.

I had problem with my iPhone 4S previously and Digi refused to replace a unit for me even though it was under warranty. They asked me to go back to Apple. I refused and made a scene there. I spoke to the manager and insisted her to give me higher authority in Digi to get my problem solved. After several escalation emails and phone calls to their Customer Care, they finally agreed to replace a new unit for me. I guess you have to be firm that you want them to resolve the issue for you instead of asking us, customers to solve our own issue by referring back to the manufacturer. After all, we paid the money to them.

most of the times, these 'scene and fuss' is not like that crazy ones yang menjerit jerit.

just voice your problem reasonably, what you have done to solve this, and tell that you don't have time to deal with this problem any longer because you are busy with work or family(making them feels empathic usually work great), all you want is just a good solution for this, (replacement ke, new unit ke, repair ke), not being dragged for more days.

from my experience, reasoning out nicely like this went smoother than just blasting in. try it out! and best to do it at their big store or service centre, since they normally keep their stocks there.

BTW, Digi speed is very bad so far, getting maximum 2 mbps in kl area, my Desire Z with umobile can get 7mbps. thinking of terminating at the end of the month.

I am going to flash codefirex + motley b10 (the newer motley are not fully stable yet)

4. Connection:
...
- at last i wan to mention that the NFC...remember that this NFC had changed the controller, not using the normal 1...this is not MIME type which mean that it may not compatible with usual type of NFC tag*
*
What do you mean by "not MIME type"? Care to elaborate?

One issue, N4 is using Broadcom's NFC controller. Because of this, only NFC Forum compatible tags are supported.

Mifare Classic tags are not supported. They are NXP proprietary and not NFC Forum compatible. However, Mifare Classic tags are popular in the market and you can get them easily.

Most older Android phones are using NXP's NFC controller therefore have no problem writing on Mifare Classic tags.

N4 users have to know about this when buying NFC tags. Choose NFC Forum type tag (NTAG203, Ultralight etc.) instead of Mifare Classic tags.
