How to change from charging USB to charging AC ?
*

Use the stock charger. Well any usb charger should be detected as AC, unless you are using a low quality third party charger. I still use my old HTC charger. And sometimes, the cable used play a factor as well. But you wont have these issues if you use the stock charger. I keep mine in the box since there is already a blackberry and htc charger in my house

First day using Franco r34. Not very satisfy with the result. Sad. maybe after recharge couple times will get a better result.

Left the phone idle last night at 59%, woke up at 7, battery level dropped to 39%. Urghh!
Now recharge again.

You might have some wakelocks wasting your battery.but from that graph it looks pretty normal. I suggest you install BBS and analyze the consumption. how many battery cycle has it been through? It might take a few cycle to be fully okay.

i am torn between choosing a casing protecting the back or showing off the sexy back...
*

I will use the bumper most of the time, and maybe the full TPU diztronic when I am doing some outdoor activities or running. The back is too sexy to be kept hidden tongue.gif

That is why poetic made a revision 2, review of the rev 2 in xda has been positive so far. I will post here if there is any negative feedback on rev 2. Racerx ordered the rev 2 version

anyone has any idea why the Nexus 4 toolkit couldn't detect my device, both either on fastboot mode or ADB mode? same thing happened to one of my friend's Nexus 7.
*

which one are you using? if you are using the WUG version, click the 'full driver installation' under initial setup, and execute the steps. then do the step 3 under that option that says full driver test. that would make sure everything is good to go.

yes why not. I got a nice number from the Digi deal, not sure whether want to keep it, since i already have hotlink youthclub and digi campus on my torchlight phone.

my new digi number is in my old Desire Z since i can't really utilise Digi's network at my place. Umobile is still my preferred provider.

my gf is getting one too, i didn't have to convince her or anything. her friend bought one from the states, she tried it around and was impressed by it!

she also likes the design, so yeah, the design is pretty unisex i'd say tongue.gif appeals to both side

I am happy to say that I found my favourite setup already.

Modaco's CM10.1 with motley's b10 stable cm kernel. a good setup out of the box.

a good combo of stable cm10 nightly, with all the features included. gapps are preinstalled, an added bonus.

they have this pre-install script using option.txt. still unsure how to use it, but will report back once i know.

got my bumper and screen protector at the same time  rclxms.gif

before that was using my box as a cover lol

anyway anyone downloaded Gotya apps? for catching thief
*

If you want a really good anti theft app, go for Cerberus. it is paid, by imo, the best one so far.

read the round up by Android Police here
[Mobile Security App Shootout, Final Roundup] Out Of A Sea Of Apps, Just One Emerges As A Clear Winner In Keeping Your Device Safe

there are other options to choose as well. but cerberus is really good, you can remote wipe, remote picture taking.

i bought a grey one from Racerx, the bumper would arrive in a few weeks i think, hopefully faster tongue.gif

but the bumble bee one looks nice too, might be gettting another one from shirogawa

i asked in FB and they said no warranty. so might wanna rethink of getting hotspot version. at least from bulk direct import can save, and we'll get rev 2 plus warranty

@faiz i think racerx has ordered last week, x sempat for another order. can ask at his thread http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=2660339

if not, all of us can bulk from shirogawa too, his price is 48/piece for MOQ of 5, and 52/piece individually

motley's kernel is designed for different cpu binned.

he has already set UV preset for different cpu that our phone has, which means that the smoothness would be very similar even though one phone has a slow cpu, or the other one has a fast cpu. just flash the appropriate kernel and you are good to.

motley's main objective is performance and stability. although iinm motley's doesnt play well with paranoid android as anarchy has tried.

if you want just a stable one, stick to b10 first. if you want latest fastest but don't mind to handle bugs if there is any, try the latest version, b17

i transferred everything from my previous phone, Desire Z and I have 5GB left.

you won't feel the size constraint if you use Google Music etc. everything in the cloud, easier. I have 20GB+ songs synced at Google Music and i don't have to worry about transferring songs etc.

try it out! icon_rolleyes.gif

I think DiGi just change their T&C, could be? hmm.gif

Anyway, back on topic, anyone who still stick with original rom, have you guys try the Smart RAM Booster and the Deep Sleep Battery Saver Pro? Any feedback from you guys?
*

i am not sure about deep sleep app, but you shouldnt worryabout ram.2GB free ram, and android's built in ram management is good enough since 2.3
