I would prefer the S6500fd over the S9500, for the ISO3200 over the S9500's ISO1600. Its lower resolution helps with the noise, I assume.

this is what i think (on F30, same sensor as S6500)
ISO3200 - very high noise, not very usable (may be just for fun ISO1600 - noisy, but still usable ISO800 - not so much noise & very usable ISO400 & below - no noise (relatively speaking) |

QUOTE Fast Operation: The days of the slow reacting digital camera are over. The FinePix F30 powers up in a little more than a second and shutter lag, the time it takes the camera to fire after the auto focus and auto exposure locks, is down to 0.01 seconds. noob here, i have a question, is this camera fast enough to take 1 picture every second? or 2 pictures in one second? is it capable? how fast can it go? thx. single shot to shot is 2 sec. if you want fast use continous top3 mode which is 2 frames/sec

lgs: Why do you suppose the 10 megapixel Canon 400D is noisier than the 8 megapixel 350D? If you try to squeeze more detail from the same-sized sensor, you will get more noise.
Similiarly, a bigger sensor at the same resolution has less noise. This is common knowledge (comparing Canon A85 versus A520 for example.) This justifies a full-frame sensor. |
