Who is this Lee CH asking for advice on gold on the GMS page? I have no idea how googling for gold investment as inflation hedge would lead to that page.

Edit: Perhaps one of the more interesting points raised by him is as to just how useless gold is in a hypothetical doomsday scenario (which, of course, is taking the hedge issue way too far). What is actually useful is what you have in hand physically. Now those folks at GMS like to claim that they have physical gold, except I'm pretty sure that most of them who do have it locked away somewhere else. This makes it utterly useless. In desperate situations, what really matters is what is currently in your possession. You cannot count on something stored elsewhere. Your safe deposit box is likely inaccessible. Likely it might even have been looted.

However, what is actually relevant is that gold by itself has no intrinsic value aside from looking shiny and some limited industrial uses. If this world ever gets into a situation of total economic collapse to the point where fiat currencies are no longer trusted, holding physical gold isn't going to be any better. In a barter economy, what actually matters is useful goods. The most valuable items will be what fulfills our basic needs (food, clothing, and shelter). Gold is pretty much of little value in such a situation.

There is no proof that he is, and you cannot ask or you will be kick-banned because they dun like people asking for proof.

Yes, but I am questioning if there really exists bread to be buttered on after all. Dee claims to be a consultant as well as customer of Genneva, and that he/she has made a police report. However, we have no proof of it. That FB account is relatively new and has only a handful of 'friends', all of whom are related to Genneva. It might be that Dee is merely the alter-ego of a Genneva Director, or someone who is personally working for them.

Which is why I question the sanity and rationale behind the idiots who would take up Dee's advice on anything at all.

And now the latest article from GMS claims that they do not regard BNM as the enemy but the 'little Napoleans' within, specifically Mazlan Ahmad. Now I don't think much of that fellow myself but its pretty obvious here that he is merely doing his job. Its almost as if they are trying to offer BNM a way out (not like its even asked for or needed) by sacrificing him. That is just downright low and despicable.

I believe Donald Lim has mentioned in the chinese papers that the full accounting report should be available by the end of this month. How accurate that is, I do not know since it has only appeared in chinese papers and is parroted by The Edge.

BNM also playing the silent game, like the Genneva Directors. Difference is BNM keep silent, GMS rages. Genneva Directors keep silent, its a wise strategy.
