I think what generates happiness depends on the person's goals and lifestyle.
A simple dude who isn't materialistic earning 5 figures might be happy because basic needs are covered. A dude with constant material needs may not find 5 figures enough because demand keeps increasing. There will always be a new car, new gadgets, new clothes......the list goes on. |

No money is never related to happiness.
If you allow yourself to be bothered by who earns more than you, then you will go crazy. Ultimately, happiness is what you think in your head. If you think everybody is earning more than you then hang out with people poorer than you. |

QUOTE(IluvProton @ Jan 13 2013, 05:01 PM) 5k still ok. imagine 1k you will have another set of problems by that time ~ might be worst than a 5k earner................actually not much diff for 5figure like 10-20k earner. if u say 40-99k earner ~ fuuuu ~ like boss liao imagine u working and get about 1m per annum its freaking true , i have an example but lazy to elaborate |

in repsect to what you want, need and like to have.
you may not be able to afford certain things, but you can set a goal to save for it...one day, provided it's achievable and within your required time. for me, I choose health to get me happiness. money is important, but once you feel you sustain your own balance...will you be able to decide. it would just be worse on happiness if you are sick and no money. |
