Remove it or disable sweetfx, it's just a toggle.

Currently I think the best preset is K-putt or SS, they do not desaturate the colors too much and still keep the tone of the game. However neither of these presets are 100% stable yet, they can crash the game and in some instances make enemies have a wrong color palette. It's quite uncommon, but I've seen several screenies on reddit and neogaf about it.

The cineFX mod is nice, but does have a performance hit whereas kputt and SS doesn't. Also patch 1.03 has broken the cineFX preset as well, wait for an update.

I don't think I'm so into the whole sweetfx thing this time though, at least not right now. Probably after the first major patch, only then I will go into one of them.

Does anyone encounter character not loaded properly? have one time i encounter is vesemir shown only head and his 2 sword. Im guessing might have been my GPU not loading fast enough since only 2GB DDR5..

Try to set TextureBudgetMemory value to 1024 at the very least in the user.settings.bak in Documents > Witcher 3. The default 800 (which is the game's Ultra value) is silly low.

I have it at 2048 and there is significantly less slow texture streaming, but it can still crop up. Thinking to raise it further, although it seems to cap out beyond 1800.


Yeah, coming from Bloodborne, Witcher 3 is a cake walk. Bloodborne kind of spoiled gaming's difficulty, more than Dark Souls did.

Thanks, will tweak it up tonight. I decide to just turn off hairworks setting and set other options to ultra (except for foliage and grass). Seems more playable than the hairworks setting on. No more fluffy hairs T-T

Happened to me once in awhile...try playing around with the settings...fps unlocked...full screen mode...

Witchers are usually neutral and doesnt like to meddle with politics. however sometimes they had to choose a side in when situation arises.

But then, kings/nobles love to hire them to dispel curses or dispose some supernatural being; getting well paid and recognized by the king. Just like how Foltest treats Geralt like a lucky charm after Geralt busted off an assassination attempt.

For me it just like Photoshop - but in real time. Still using my own settings, good enough - checked several other people's presets here's comparison:

I'm not gonna bring back the greenness with the green tint though that's for sure.
Prefer higher exposure personally - so the lights actually "shine"... But could work on my contrast a little.

Probably increase gamma just a tad bit, that's all I can think of. Otherwise I think you're set!

Yea mine is really lacking some "darkness" in comparison Need to work on that.

Alright nice. I'll try it out later in the weekend. I think the darkness of your shadow isn't too bad, it just needs a little bit more balance. I don't think you should make it too dark though, because like for example 1000's time better (rainguyen right?) is pretty much unplayable in some of the darker dungeons later on in the game! It's just too damn dark!

It's also an issue with CineFX. I think K-putt and SS are equal in very dark areas for now.
