looks like MG, and the clear parts make him look way better! With normal plastic he just looks plain and boring

Im building MG Strike Freedom. Is it a good idea to top coat matte the inner frame first before assembling or should I assemble everything and top coat later?
What bugging me is the top coat affect on joint - squeaky, armor couldnt fitted.
