just got my watami card this afternoon. was told that need to call AEON credit service if want to make paypal transaction

Don't know why the aeon outlet misplace my application as they didn't receive ny when I called CS

Each time need to make PayPal or one-time affair ?

Each time use paypal need to call them

The forex convesion rate is high (baesd on the sms that I received)
US$43.99 = RM140.88
US$15.90 = RM50.92

$-RM conversion rate for Aeon credit is about 3.203
Visa $-RM conversion rate today is only 3.090

Charges are about 3.6%!!! (MBB2 Amex only 2.5%)

Wonder if auto debit/standing instruction to pay insurance every month falls into the 3% category or not?

Hi..guys..i juz got my first statement from aeon. i got myself a classic master card. Mainly used for BT from my MBB card. But there is an item named service tax which cost rm50 in the statement..is dis GST?or is it some other tax which i was not told earlier?coz from wut i knoe,annual fees for 1st year is waived..anyone can share some info with me?tq.

YES, $50 was GST of the Credit Card...
The GST (Government Sales & Service Tax) can NOT Waive by the Bank, it is collected by the government and the banks enforce it on behalf of the government, so Your have to Pay it

they will charge you again next Year (2014) on Your cc Annual Date

Swipe 2 times and you can request for RM50 as GST offset from AEON Customer Care

just want to ask about the cash advance, if example my cc balance only left RM1000, can I take out RM1500 from the ATM?

if you available balance only has RM1,000, then its a no.

We have extensively discussed about GST for several years now and many times the debate went into overdrive mode for the wrong terminology used often popularised by overzealous/uninformed/misinformed agents.

GST is to be paid by all cardholders to the government and the banks merely acts as a collector on behalf of the government. It cannot be waived as how can be bank waive something which is not charged by them? Annual Fees/AF might be waived.

To note ... such incorrect/misrepresentation/confusing/etc remarks about GST are not welcomed in any parts of the credit card section. I respect everyone's intelligence but there will always be those confused souls who don't understand or those who don't have any respect for the correct terminology to be used (whatever the reason is) - for everyone's benefit this is applied across the board. Everyone ... please be informed.

I'm posting this note as perhaps it has never been mentioned in this particular thread so I'm giving a stern (and the only) warning to all about such attitude/discusion about GST. Posts/quotes/etc containing such discussion/mention will be deleted without prejudice nor any further warning/reason will be provided.

This happened to me 2 mths back. Sent my application through one their branch. After 1 mth, they stil didn't received my application, they loss my documents!!! On my 2nd try only i got my Aeon CC.... Sigh.., terrible service!!!

Very disappointed with AEON credit ... hopefully someone from that organization looks at this blog and use this information as a constructive feedback from users ....

Applied their credit card (went personally to their Aeon credit office end of Jan 2013), gave them IC and all required documents .. they make copies and checked thru and confirmed that everything is inplaced for the application. Then 5 hrs later received call from them requesting to go back to their office and have IC photocopy again (saying have to be separated from Jusco card). Then on 14 Feb, called and found out that their headoffice did not receive the application. Made a few phone calls and then finally they got the application but again ask to send IC softcopy to them again (sent them via email). Then 2 days later, received call again .. same issue. What is surprising is that when we called their card center, they told us that the application was cancelled even before they request for softcopy .... really a waste of time and effect for the extra 3% cashback ...

You should apply at AEON Store in 1Utama or Midvalley
