I didn't even know it was possible to transplant final drive until today icon_question.gif

Isn't the gearing of the getrag unit optimized for IAFM+?

Speaking of which, has anyone transplanted the Preve Manual drivetrain to a FLX SE drool.gif

lol. it was just an idea. im nt sure if its possible.
iafm+ can be changed as well ryte? iafm unit costs probably rm3xx?

The difference between IAFM and IAFM+ is not just the intake manifold, but also the cam profile. That means if you will need to swap the camshafts as well and, IINM, the pistons too. It's the engine internals that makes the IAFM+ Campro to perform differently than IAFM Campro.

for preve manual i heard my friend say
2nd gear can go to 110kmh
and 5th gear 120kmh@3000rpm

for 1.3 IAFM and IAFM+ it's the same torque and hp, except IAFM+ reachs max hp at slightly slower RPM.

For 1.6, IAFM+ have lower max hp reached at lower RPM, but higher max torque compared to 1.6 IAFM.

These differences are mainly to accomodate the CVT. Not sure how different are the torque curves.

Regarding the fuel pump, if mostly drive in city traffic or short distance and use Ron 95, there will be carbon buildup which cause sometimes not enough fuel being pumped for initial crank. SA advised to take the occasional long journey trip to clear it out or get the X1R or other brand petrol cleaner thing (not octane booster).

As for the Small 'd' rubber thingy, confirmed by SA, all new batch got it and one of the function is to prevent unnecessary dust and rain water from entering the air intake.
