QUOTE(davidke20 @ Jan 15 2013, 01:11 AM) Only if you can Now I understand Just tested monitoring Fuel Flow Rate going uphill. Using high gear (low rpm) uses more fuel than low gear (high rpm) On flat road, going more than 70 km/h on Gear 5, fuel flow rate goes rapidly higher IMO, physical meter more 'syok' |

Just done 25k service (RM 185.85)
Regarding the fuel pump, if mostly drive in city traffic or short distance and use Ron 95, there will be carbon buildup which cause sometimes not enough fuel being pumped for initial crank. SA advised to take the occasional long journey trip to clear it out or get the X1R or other brand petrol cleaner thing (not octane booster). As for the Small 'd' rubber thingy, confirmed by SA, all new batch got it and one of the function is to prevent unnecessary dust and rain water from entering the air intake. Pic (not mine): |

QUOTE(davidke20 @ Jan 23 2013, 09:57 AM) Cum listen listen listen, Plotong set 1k, 5k & 10k free servis is meant for furture warranty purposes. Its not about void or no void warranty, is about maintain the new engine clean to avoid FUTURE complication. Why 1k servis? Its bcoz all engine parts are new, during this run in period, there will be lots of grinding inside the engine, as metal surface rubbing happened, expect metal dust mixed in the engine oil(so as gear oil). So, after 1k run in period your oil filter will be suckalot with metal dust liao hence the 1k servis is applied. 5k will be the same reason, so as 10k. Maintain engine cleaniness in the early stage can avoid many complication in future, such as hutan bakar white smoke/black smoke. For me, I dun really care whether its semi synthetic or fully synthetic. Avoid metal dust is more critical Anyone keeping their service records organized? Plan for the future sale of your car Click Here to view my maintenance records |

QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Jan 23 2013, 10:33 AM) Keep the car for at least 20 years. By then during TT can talk about the good old days of IAFM+ QUOTE(iskazulka @ Jan 23 2013, 10:36 AM) crazy la keep service record. Easier to sell car at slightly higher than market price. No need to nego2 so much i dun care one. what's done is done. unless like ibnuasad wanna change car to FoFi!!!!! QUOTE(AmeiN @ Jan 23 2013, 10:37 AM) Ask adik sambung bayar but you still use it..very clever QUOTE(dares @ Jan 23 2013, 10:42 AM) I like FoFo better QUOTE(dares @ Jan 23 2013, 10:53 AM) Keeping service record is not just for sale of car, but also just in case Proton decides to void your warranty for some stupid reason, you have the documents to prove that you follow their maintenance regime. But after 3 years or you wanna service outside, then it's irrelevant dy. Exactly. Plus I found out one of my usual service centre got problem with a staff in the past. Staff got caught not replacing EO..instead he steal the new EO that's intended for customer. Cabut lari before Manager could make report. I wonder how many batches of cars kena... |

QUOTE(davidke20 @ Jan 23 2013, 10:59 AM) My engine oil price range between RM30-60. I've used BhP SS once RM80. Frankly, don't feel much difference though Total damage how much? If >5k, sell car than buy a few Saga Orion/Megavalve FC wise, refer fuelly la. Only problem is, now Shawie is sick, drinking my engine oil |
