Really hope you can confirm this .. thanks bro
*
Yes confirm that both directional arrows and cruise control button wont light up.
But does this really so important??
I believe most people will adjust the side mirror while the car is static before moving.
Cruise control is just beside your thumb and you can find it easily without looking at it.

Thank bro for clearing it up... right now im thinking about doing my first service with the additional revo advance oil. Anyone using this revo oil?
*
are u sure about the additive oil bro?? I believe only Nissan approved additive can be added or it may spoil your warranty. Dont joke about this..

Just collected my christmas lucky draw service voucher, going to send for first 1k service.
Noticed the idding rpm set at 800 only, seems abit low rpm and can feel some vibration.
Thinking to tell SC tune it to 1k rpm ..

got my car last week, still learning the angle of driving a big car? lol coming from an old smaller car, driving in tight corner is a challenge and also side parking tongue.gif

a few questions... is that, the day after collect my car, I noticed that the mileage is around 200++ km shouldn't this be zero? I remember the SA told me that he has to get the car for me from Sungai Petani to Penang... I suspect they gave me a test drive unit...

another questions...that's about the rims... I was told not to change the rims because it is made in Japan and better quality, is there such a thing? tempted to change to a better looking 17" rim and quite worry about voiding the warranty and will it also affect the ABS and other safety features? thanks alot for listening... new user asking lots of questions... smile.gif

overall I am satisfied with the performance... first try going up hill today, ... I tried the paya terubong hill road to bayan lepas and it was quite smooth, but I was alone driving...
*
Actually no harm changing yr rim to larger one. But yr fc may increase by using other non standard rim or tyre.
Better keeping the stock rim at home after change to new rim, any issue of warranty later you can revert to the stock one before sending to sc.

Most of the glass we have nowadays are the type called tempered glass made by the process of repetitive heating and cooling.
Therefore the will be some internal stress build in the glass its self and may shattered easily at certain weak point such as those sharpe edges.
The pattern of cracks shown is very obvious vertically patern at both edges. I believe this could be some kind of manufacturing defects of the material or the installation problem. Go ahead to fight for the compensation from TCM telling them about the facts.

Been asking around the different car dealers and most of them said the same thing, usually starts at a certain weak point especially at the edge.

Tchong wants rm 2200 for replacement, i've found a replacement from China for Rm 450. Still mulling over the pros and cons.
*
Did you make complain over TCM website? At least the case is recorded. Any future similar repetitive cases reported, then TCM should explain the root cause.

There is no harm of making claims or complaints to TCM about the issue of self breaking glass. At least there is record as I mentioned earlier. This is some basic common sense regarding consumers's rights ..

Please teach me how to update.
*
Its all inside this web page Speed Navi Download Page
But you need to sign up an account first.
Then go to new authentication button and add new device.
Key in the hardware key and last PRESS THE FREE BUTTON ON THE MOST RIGHT EDGE to renew serial no. For new map.

The map update file is huge, its 1.2gb file size. Prepare a new sd card with min 2gb capacity.
Keep the ori sd card just incase it doesn't work.

Hi all,

just to check on my serena, i bought it in Oct 2013 and up to now it has gone for its 3rd service (>10K).

i got this problem that when i accelerate or going up hill my car start to jerk.  It is like your car is running out of fuel.  I went to see the SC in setapak, they told me that it got something to do with my gearbox.  Anyone got the same problem?

one more thing my fuel consumption is going down.  the most i achieved was 10.6 liter/km but now it went down to 10 only... is this normal? i don't really drive very fast on average my driving is only 80 to 90km as it is town driving.

Hope any one could help me with this. icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif

How can it be related to the fuel for GB problem....
For normal procedure TCM will change the GB fluid first instead of total replacement of whole GB.
Sound something is not right here....

I am having the same problem.... First jerk was really terrible when I was going uphil probably around 5okm/h as if it was going to break down... Within a month, I have another 2-3 not so terrible jerks... I was planning to send it for checking during my 20k service but I think that I should send it for checking immediately!

Any news/progress for the Jerking problem?

one problem i'm facing is car jerking when i'm slowly rolling with soft braking... it's like the S-Hybrid confused whether to start or off the hybrid function.

Also the car have problem trying to climb steep hills.. more than 35 degrees with full 8 adults. even on sport and off eco mode. seems like CVT is meant for normal driving, not on straining jobs.

do you have the overheating issue when at N? if the fans are running fine, then it's probably thermostat.

Mine having the same problem recently. Jerking at low speed, change to ron 97 the problem no more. Once change back ron 95 the jerking is back at low speed. Sc recommend put injector cleaner first. Anyone have tat problem solved?
