ah... now i remember... sometimes i do have that trouble taking close up pic... usually from my case is that i tried to take a close up pic of the object with the skies as backgroud that make it hard to get a good focus... also less than 6inches? range cant get focus at all if not mistaken....
*
Just tried again with the shutter button. I can focus as close as 3-4 inches at most. Any closer = use zoom. Of course if you go that close, the background will blurr off.

Personally i think white is better den yellow and red. Suggest u visit nokia store and have a look at the color.
The yellow we see in ad and youtube video is different. Im happy with white
*
I was a bit impatient so i went with the white one, and the back looks classy, gloss white with that metallic strip in the middle. The advantage of white is that you dont have to worry what color of protective cover will look good on it, any color is suitable, all down to your own taste, if you do not plan to keep the phone naked. I liked the red one more but i went with the white, my 2nd choice. Yellow one sure is popular but seemed a bit toy-like to me, red one not so much.

But many waited for yellow because they promote the phone all the way using yellow. Many din really see the real yellow before but like wad u said it look like little kids plastic toy from a toy shop. The yellow cutting edge is not nice especially on the sim tray. Prefer it with lighter yellow. So far i never see before black but i think not bad
*
Photoshop is involved in ads. The yellow looked fantastic on the ads, and when i saw the dummy model (they have the yellow dummy model for 920 and white dummy model on 820 when i went to order). The yellow looked not as good as the ads judging from the dummy model, again, this is my own opinion. blink.gif

Then i thought, maybe the red one doesnt look as good either, hmm.gif so to play safe i ordered the white. When i saw the red one in person i was like, crap, that was my first choice and it looked good, i had the chance to order it back in december, but to play safe i went with white instead. doh.gif But the white one looked good to me so im fine with it.

I did saw a black one, and i didnt really like it. My N8 was black one so i thought i should make a change and go for other colors.

A note of caution here. It has been reported that the colour of the original casing wearing off on the phone.

So, if you are buying a darker coloured casing to fit on a lighter coloured phone, just take cognizance.
*
Any specific brand to warn us? My Nilkin one seems to be injection mold color, no problem, but like some others said, button not accurate. Was thinking of looking around for more.

It's the Nokia original casing. I in fact read it somewhere in this forum.

I believe the reason is the material which is the 'soft' type as opposed to the Nillkin and Rock ones which are hard.
*
Ah, i only go for hard casings.

Have you checked whether your phone is scratched by the hard casing you presently have on?

Hard casings have the tendency to scratch the phones when small particles seep in-between.
*
Never happened to me before, including my older phones. My old phones get scratched because i drop them while they are naked. The Nilkin one, the fitting surface inside is rubbery in terms of feel, outside is rugged hard plastic feel.

just note to self lumia 920 is not drop proof. its just harder plastic if drop certain angle glass will shatter as well and if drop on body u notice chipped plastic making it uneven surface.

If you are into social integration and camera then choose lumia 920 if not think hard.
*
Ouch. rclxub.gif
Any phone if it lands on one of the 4 corners when it is dropped will most likely break; small area = higher pressure and impact. Lumia 920's weight wll even increase the risk. This pic does seem to indicate the phone landed on its corner judging by the crack pattern.

i duno, Sg just launch Xperia Z haha. Lowyat team go test it one, not me. tongue.gif
i just wait for this thing fight with L920 and see both low light performance haha  tongue.gif
but i remember last time 920 havent in user's hand and when someone release some lowlight shots, all shot looks like shoot with proper light what  unsure.gif

so in the end i just forward news lol, i still wait low light performance race go on  brows.gif
*
The images posted earlier, it seems to me Lumia 920 still captures more light, kinda obvious, but it ended up a bit over exposed to me. Xperia Z's high MP count doesnt mean anything to me though. But, there's lots of light there. One interesting thing would be how well the camera lens plugins like ProShot and CameraPro makes the camera even better if properly used.

I dont really trust the quality of the cameras on Sony phones in general. You know, my friends used to say Sony wants to sell digital cameras so they cant put cams that are too good in their phones, old school thinking, but that is partially true. The previous Xperia S, T, despite 12-13MP the details are still not as good as the N8. The N8's 12MP cam photos turn out to be 1MB+ only from compression, but Lumia 920, 8MP cam but photos around 2.5MB.

Which colour is the most recommended? I heard some colour feels slippery when you hold it

Slippery or not is not a big issue, better to go for your favorite color, if available. biggrin.gif

*yes, i STILL no trust sony camera yet, but this model is "quite promising"  wink.gif

*
I agree that it is promising, they beat LG and Samsung with introducing a 5' 1080p phone first and putting it in the market. But Samsung's Galaxy brand have reached iPhone level, when ppl buy new phone they still go for Samsung.
They just make any product, slap on Galaxy word and it will sell.

As long as it's original set, who care the sticker. After used, the sticker also can fade or peel off, right?
*
Mine is Zitron one, from Nokia store in Gurney so i didnt think twice peeling it off since i have the receipt, and there's even a warranty card inside.

White & black are more professional looking, but if you want your phone to look ostentatiously attractive, red & yellow will be the colour for you.

I have a black Lumia 920 myself. The 1st day I brought my phone to office, received many compliments on it's design. Their first impression was - big, smooth, simple, beautiful, elegant, and they even like the matte finish on it.  My colleagues even say my phone looks visually bigger than then their Galaxy S3, but reality is, it isn't.
*
In terms of size, both have the same width, difference of 0.1mm lol. S3 is simply longer and bezel is thinner, thats all.

can i ask
which centre you bought from???
i asked at gardens
she say rm1999
but maybe there's a new price that she havent heard yet
*
1999 is the normal price. 1800 only applies for the black model which isnt as popular, and the Nokia stores wont offer this proce either, only normal retail shops.

6hrs 5%, so nice...

My lumia is really nice, just the battery life problem that has been bugging me.
*
So far im happy with the phone's battery life though; i dont use data, but on wifi it doesnt suck much battery. For my usage the phone lasts an average of 1.5 days before the battery goes under 20%.
