Almost, but I guess Microsoft is trying to get some of the MacOS X features into its Vista 'AERO' Technology. And hopefully, it should be better; just like the Windows GUI they copied from prev MacOS... Hopefully again, Vista shud have less security problem...

From my POV, if you have the GPU that supports DX9 with Shader 3.0 capability, it should be OK to run Vista with AERO. Don't forget, get the latest notebook with he latest technology in it. Get more RAMs, larger HDD... Anything else I think is still OK....

Vista requires a minimum of 256mb.

I said minimum. Just like XP requires a minimum of 128mb. But we all know to get the accurate requirement, we need to multiple the RAM by two. So....it's still 512mb

ic... woooow... all the hype about vista using very high specs to support it... really making people go sleepless nowadays... maybe can use as alasan to upgrade current system... "Dad, bagik duit.... mau upgrade pc kaw kaw... to install windows vista".... haha....

but i personally will use the 32 bit vista....ahaha
got no 64 bit proc at my house...
the latest one onli centrino 1.5 ghz ...

dont have a desktop??? u can get a cheap 64 bit no matter from intel or amd anywhere nowadays.... celeron M and sempron i dunno... but do not worry... lets just hope by the time vista really comes out.... (maybe end of this year or next year... just like ps3).... we will have enough information and MONEY to afford a system with vista ready capabilities....
