Almost, but I guess Microsoft is trying to get some of the MacOS X features into its Vista 'AERO' Technology. And hopefully, it should be better; just like the Windows GUI they copied from prev MacOS... Hopefully again, Vista shud have less security problem...now is Windows Xp to Vista ...

From my POV, if you have the GPU that supports DX9 with Shader 3.0 capability, it should be OK to run Vista with AERO. Don't forget, get the latest notebook with he latest technology in it. Get more RAMs, larger HDD... Anything else I think is still OK....
