Isn't it Intel 915? Anyway, I think most modern PCs can run Vista with the necessary RAM or GPU (DX9 required for the Aero UI).

Vista comes in 5 (or 6) different versions. Only the most basic one doesn't support 64bit.

haha... most probably ur right... if we still wait for intel to release their 64 bit laptop processor.... AMD already running with turion for laptops nowadays.... and vista ready..... almost guaranteed.... so dont put it as all laptops... but only intel laptops wont run 64bit vista...... well... currently speaking....

still vista will require alot of gpu power. so i think normal gpu with small quantity of vram cannot handle it.

Umm... no. Most laptops will be able to support Vista. You don't need i945 chipsets to run the OS AFAIK.

As for the 64 bit thingy, I forgot to mention all Vista versions support 32 bit processors (IA-32) and all except the most basic version supports 64-bit (IA-64).

You will need a DX-9 GPU (DX10 is included in Vista) to use the Aero Glass UI but I think DX8 chips can still use the non transparent UI.
