for lady user so Red is preferred. weight is not a concern and 2~3 hrs of battery life for watching video is enough, cause mainly use at home. I have a Asus K46CM, the i5-3317U feel sluggish in battery save mode, so  would like to have i5-3210m or above.

The Special Edition spec fit my hardware requirement and fit the budget nicely but it only have black, the normal series use weak ULV CPU. also the lady may not like the plain design. so I will probably skip this, the backlit keyboard is great though.

the A45VS is my 1st choice for Asus but no RED, the only thing I don't like about A55VD is the weak GT610m as it may not be enough for the kids to play 3D games.

The lady like this brand and also, Muar have their authorized shop, plus 2 years warranty. would probably get the A45/A55 series. but Lenovo Z500 touch has everything but the red cover. so...

Z500 touch or A45VS if I'm going for black? would like to have user feedback on this 2, like actual uses response and build quality. Thanks in advance.

The Dell 14r SE seems to have a lot of issues (BSOD,WiFi and so in)

I did consider G480/G580 but they are last year design and look less pretty or should I dare, uglier than the Z500/Z400. the Red doesn't help here.

The Sony is very pretty but its probably design for teen girl, would prefer elegant red than soft pink. also the HD7550M is only slightly better than GT610m.

The lady just told me she would prefer 15", after considering all factors, the Z500 look to be unbeatable for the price. the Dell is out as 15R/SE has no number pad(not good for accounting) and 15 only have ULV processor. Asus is still in cause Asus is more easily found in Muar local shop, namely the A55VD with red. heard that Asus service is not great in Malaysia? how about Lenovo?

The Z500 really does looks nicer:

She has 3 boys age between 10 and 14. they play many types of games, I would guess GT610M wouldn't be enough for them to play current games smoothly.

i7 would probably be overkill for them and buying retails/OEM Windows would probably exceed her budget. I don't if she would like the dated Z480/Z580 design especially when Z500 offer more for less.

Guess I would recommend her the Z500 consider the warranty, price and features. Thanks a lots for your inputs, they are very helpful.

i can afford downtime, sorry to probe but in ipoh here, there is no ultrabook show units.  The few shops i went only told me ipoh consumer are more on 2k budget units or gaming units.  Thus if i want, i can only order it and wait after CNY to get the unit.  Thus i kept asking here cause all i can bet on is a recomended unit.  I wont blame u one la if no good lol, if u are me which one will u choose? hahahahah sorry ah i kept pressing.
