I am not sure. So far I know if the user is one club member, no adv payment is required. If you are a new subscriber, you may need to ask Maxis officials.

My understanding of the chart above is that :
If you are eyeing a 16GB iphone 5S & not a ONE CLUB member , you will need to pay upfront 1899 plus 700 = RM2599 . Last year i pay only 2200 upfront for iphone 5. This year i will skip. |

When I book my unit via maxis one club invitation this morning, all plans with 32gb and 64gb gold iphone 5s all sold out. I'm pretty sure much of the gold units had been offered to corporate customers and Elite Maxis one club members (>RM500 per month usage) .

QUOTE(PBDHH @ Oct 25 2013, 10:10 AM) My apologies but Malaysia is only getting less than 10,000 units during the launch. Most of the units ordered are gold. pm. The quota supplied by Apple to Malaysia is very limited and thats why most of the telcos are not doing any launch party and are spliting the crowd to the resellers / partners store. I cant provide you any black any white evidence here due to NDA (Non Disclosure agreement). It's up to you guys if u want to believe or not but i have read and seen this info with my own eyes and read it line by line but i wasnt able to share /snapshop / forward this info to anyone. |

QUOTE(kahyeec @ Oct 25 2013, 11:19 AM) My understanding of the chart above is that : Yup the upfront payment a little too steep this time. I think better to just get like SurfMore 50 plan and then purchase an iPhone without contract (for the light users). If you are eyeing a 16GB iphone 5S & not a ONE CLUB member , you will need to pay upfront 1899 plus 700 = RM2599 . Last year i pay only 2200 upfront for iphone 5. This year i will skip. |

When she canceled digi and took a iphone plan with maxis...she had to pay the upfront as she wasnt a MOC.but then again the staffs in maxis seems to always misquote and really seems like everybody giving different feedback on the line/floor with them. I'm MOC and they sent me mail days ago. No upfront payment needed. But i never buy on contract, at the end of the day i want better control. The savings is 20% but over 12 months which is not very much.
Maxis have not given a genuine good offer before but their LTE & overall line is not bad. Some of their new packages they don't even bother to tell me. Celcom on the other hand has given me 2 times waiver on bills which is why i have kept another Celcom line for over 15 years. This is why i never go on contract with Maxis and whenever i can i would like to scam them back. BTW my line charges were >$500/month. Since then i have split the lines to Celcom & Maxis. I hope some Maxis hot shot is reading this. This post has been edited by 1kokies: Oct 26 2013, 06:15 PM |

There are less immediate demand and wide availability for Samsung Phones so even though Note 3 is the flagship Maxis still have excess stock so they will allow no upfront payment. For IPhone they know only telcos and Apple re-seller has them and telcos have the majority of the stock. With only 10000 for 3 telcos (see a few posts up in this thread) no wonder they kick up the upfront payment . |

It was only for that two years when the company gave her digi iphone etc plan she downgraded her maxis to talk 50 and kept as backup. |
