Received official invitation to reserve the phone from Maxis. However the 16GB is now priced at RM2399, a whopping RM200 jump!!

Note: This package is for One Club members only. Packages for general subscribers has not been announced yet.

Can u tell me if upfront for MOC waive? if no upfront, i will consider.. smile.gif

I am not sure. So far I know if the user is one club member, no adv payment is required.

If you are a new subscriber, you may need to ask Maxis officials.

After much calculation I think its better to buy from apple store which opens for sale on 31 oct. although the phone price is RM200 higher than its siblings

Maxis still not revealing the plan yet? >.<
*
Due to stock limitation Maxis revealed the price plan to those who submitted ROI.

As far as I know, they went out of stock on the same day after sending the invitation. So you need to wait for 2nd batch of stock, I guess.

Hi all,

I want the sign up the iValue 1 plan asap and I dont care whether the 5s got stock or not,
Can I sign up the plan first then later on only collect the phone? is there any maxis dealer can do it?  *QUESTION 1*

The reason I take iValue 1 plan because it match my usage further on,
Data usage : 1-2GB
Call: 200mins +-
SMS: very little 20+

Currently using umobile UMI 28 - 500mb data, 100mins call , 30sms and my comparion on maxis plan as below:

iValue 1 RM 100
Data: 2 GB
Call: 333mins
SMS : 1000 local
12 months contract
12 months Plan TCO : RM1200- (iphone 16gb rrp 2300-1900 =RM400)=RM800

TalkMore 28 + 3GB RM96
Data: 3 GB
Call: 200mins
SMS : 100
no contract
12 months Plan TCO: RM1152

SurfMore 50  RM 85
Data: 2 GB
Call: (12 sen-maxis) (20sen-local) lets say mix = 16 sen * 200 mins = RM32
SMS:  (5 sen-maxis) (15sen-local) lets say mix = 10 sen 8 30 = RM 3
no contract
12 months Plan TCO: 1020

Any comment from pro here ? or u guys got better recommendation for me ?  *QUESTION 2*

Thanks all  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif

iValue1 is usually offered with the phone together and if you can't get the phone, the package will not be given to you. Although sometimes maxis does allow non phone contract customer to use iValue1. you have to check that with the people at Maxis centers.

If you get with the phone, iValue 1 is best. If you want flexible package, there are some value plus internet packages. Go through Maxis website for details.

Maxis Still have gold color on their e-store. 16GB in stock while 32GB limited. 64GB no stock. New line registration only. need upfront payment. I think delivery 2-3 days as per Maxis CS.

Guys, I wonder is there any way to get the iPhone 5S from Maxis and sign with SurfMore plan contract? The iValue plans don't really seem that attractive to me as I'm heavy data user.
*
Nope no other way unless u own maxis. If u use ivalue plan, once ur quota finished you can buy xtra data at reasonable cost manually from *100# or continue surf for free until ur cycle at a lower speed

i made reservation for 5s via maxis website and got sms a couple of weeks later asking to goto pavillion maxis centre to collect

when i went there 14/nov - system is down
then went there again on 15/nov - after filling up form, then was told port-in customers cannot buy & must port in first, porting in takes 3 days. - then i just walked out after last question of buying without contract is declined.

Maxis always has some lame excuses to offer. They claim to cover entire malaysia but yet to rectify simple system down problem. vmad.gif

you don't have to activate any cellular usage separately.

as long as your sim is activated, the data package (if you have purchased any) should automatically be running.

Maxis sim card is activated on the spot when the sim is given to you.

Call maxis customer service today to ask for stock level at kl area, they told me klcc have ready stock of 21 units of 64gb space grey
I told them i dont have booking or not in the waiting list, they tell me its for walk in customer with first come first serve basics.

I then proceed to klcc maxis center, the salesgirl so lansi and tell me its only for customer who received the sms to collect the phone.

Common sense, if i receive the sms from maxis do u think i will still call maxis customer service to ask about this?
I told the salesgirl maxis customer service ask me to walk in to get the phone, she then told me to call them back to inform them its only for reserve customer not for walk in, what kind of attitude is that!

Fxxxx dumb maxis customer service
