btw TS, u r kinda confident saying the price of Z would most likely bout 1899. can we count on that. actuaclly at 2k i think i still buy as i think it worth it, just hope it wont be price at a stupid crazy price like rm2500 and above.

just 1 thing i concern is that, i never experience being an early adopter, thus i afraid the first batch will hav problems. remember xperia s, most early adopters faces the yellow tinted on their screen. hav sony solve that issue btw? wats ur opinion in this?

Today just receive email from Sony Mobile introducing Xperia Z. So damn hot. It make me feel to delay my plan to buy my 1st smartphone. Originally, I plan to buy Xperia Ion. If the price above than 2k..I cannot afford it.

nexus series has never ever been the most advance smartphone in terms of hardware..

Not so good news guys, it seems the price is really is more than mere 2k. Most likely between 2000-2.5k or more.

Xperia S was selling at 1899. Now that Sony has finally catch up in specs it should be within the 2 - 2.2k.

I doubt sony price drop very fast bcause the spec isnt outdated like last time
But htc one x drops price very fast so it might be the same and s3 isnt as expensive as i thought after few months

but it is kinda weird if we look this way, Xperia TX and V are price at RM1599. the most logical figure for Z i assume shud be at RM1899 the lowest and the highest is RM2199 highest. i doubt they will price it above iphone price.

agreed! what the use of a phone when it has the superior hardware but cant even be running on JB. this i LOLed hard at SONY. Samsung and HTC realised this and hence they are trying their very hard to update the older gen phone
cant be said of SONY. even though they have the closest working relation with JBQ, but their software look dated. nothing new to the game except for better spec.
the reason im attracthed to Z is that i can foresee that this will prob a dev friendly phone as more dev is abandoning exynos based phone project

if it is more expensive than note 2....SONY is digging their own grave.

Note 2 rrp at launched was rm2299. I always said b4 that pricing strategy is very crucial especially for sony. I blieve if sony able to price their products at a right price, they able to captured the market share more that they currently acquired. N if sony xperia z able to price itself under 2k, i blieve it would b a massive hit. If morethan 2k then . Sony isnt Samsung or Apple where their customer n fañ already obsessed with the company.

at no less than 1.8k, it may not be even a sure hit. samsung user will wait for s4, htc fan will always go back to HTC, ifags dun need to mention. at that premium price, they would rather go for the more popular brand- at least for now

I'd say if Sony just price their products similar to Samsung, they'd be back in business.
There's just no way you can compare Sony and Samsung in terms of built quality, aesthetics and class.

- Samsung Galaxy S III LTE - SGD $785.00 = RM 1,957.00
- Apple iPhone 5 LTE - SGD $900.00 = RM 2,243.00
- Asus PadFone 2 LTE (only phone part) - SGD $990.00 = RM 2,468.00

I assume it will be possible price range in between RM 2,199 to RM 2,299.
