hi asus, few days ago i bought the n14uhp which is suppose to be more powerful than the D-link modem provided by TM, but turns out it wireless performance is almost identical to this D-link modem.

i tried the wifi analyzer and it is not clashing with other neighbour network

i live in double storey house only, my room get about 3 bars of signal, but it is very unstable connection.

I thought the 3 antenna suppose to be stable wireless connection but instead it perform like worst than the D-link modem.

D-link modem give me more stable connection. Dafuq?

Then i tried to use the D-link as client, n14uhp as repeater, the connection is incredibly bad, dc almost every 10 second.

The setting up is very smooth, updated the firmware without any problem
then the configuration is rather straight forward, din change anything.

Is it the router faulty?

Hi folks. After changing my unifi wifi router from dlink to ASUS RT-N12HP, now the remote desktop connection from my laptop to my PC in the same network doesn't work.

Any ideas how to fix this?

I've been trying all day to enable port 3389 for Remote Desktop Connection using Port Forwarding on the ASUS router but it still fails..

Anyone out there who has successfully done this can share with me the steps?

This is reverse. I can't loosen the antenna anymore because the port is loose.

My unifi has spiking issues when I'm gaming, I suspect its the distance and walls in between. The unifi router is at the front part downstairs floor of my house and my desktop is in the back part upstairs.

I found from https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3611812/all that RT-N12HP is the best for range that is not too expensive.
I will be using QoS to see if I can fix the spiking issue too. My question is, is RT-N12HP dual band? I cant find that info online even on official site.

But when i am going through the setup, it says that my unifi ID and password is incorrect even thought the credentials has been confirmed twice by TM support.

hi, i had a serious internet speed problem

the problem goes like this, after i upgraded my unifi from 10mbps to 30mbps, i am facing slow download speed (maximum 300kbps by browser downloader) and spiking when viewing online streaming video after switching to asus rt n12 d1 router..

before that, using only unifi 10mbps with old modem, my download speed can up to 1mbps and have no problem with online streaming video.

i had updated the asus firmware to latest 3.0.0.4.378_6975 and done factory reset but the problem still persisted. i am so frustrated now.
