Good Day, I am new to this forum, this is my 1st post.
My new Asus RT-AC55UHP is working fine since bought, but recently the LED light of 5GHz become dim and from 45 degree angle , can't see the light at all, but when connected to mobile phone is working.
May I know , is there something went wrong or some faulty issue might arise soon as a signal ?
p/s: I went and check the router website, the firmware update not there (only 3 utilities software ), is there any new firmware ?
On Win7 64bits.
Thx

QUOTE(fuadfadz @ Jun 6 2016, 02:54 PM) Other device i'm not sure but i think its not affected. Becase to resolve the wifi dropping i need to disconnect and reconnect back to the wifi. I'm not using utility right now. still the same. I just install the driver. Driver version 5.1.22.0 anyway, now cannot downgrade firmware router? you refered to Network Adapter Driver, right ?

Thank you unable to get your link; btw, the link of the new f/w is stable version ? or beta version ? any step by step to install ? if not working, can I roll back to previous f/w ? and how ? sorry, I am new to ASUS router, although I have other Asus device at home. ps : your link is working now...thx This post has been edited by jpong1: Jun 6 2016, 04:11 PM

QUOTE(denimblue @ Jun 6 2016, 02:50 PM) For some strange reasons, the firmware is under "Others" OS selection. Weird. Under OS selection, select "Others", not Windows 7 - 64bits. thx , I will go "Others" and check.

QUOTE(denimblue @ Jun 6 2016, 04:18 PM) Anyhow, router firmware is OS-independent. It is the utilities which are OS-dependent. then it make sense to under "others" , cause is universal. But , when ppl looking for f/w with pull down menu, sure they will select the OS that using. Right ? haha

Dear all,
Few question to ask, hope can get help.
May I know shall I use : 1. WPA2-Personal + AES or 2. WPA-Auto-Personal + TKIP/AES ?
Should I "Enable QoS" ?
Should I use Google DNS or Open DNS, will this slow down my UniFi ?
thx

QUOTE(ASUSmy @ Jun 8 2016, 03:24 PM) Hi jpong1, Maybe it is because of the LED light it self is faulty already. You can still use it or you can send for warranty claim. Thank you At the moment, still can use....if just the LED light is faulty and not causing connection issue, then I will continue using it unless it cause the connection drop. thanks.
