tested firmware 3.0.0.4.354

1. All LAN port can be accessed using "Manual" option in LAN-IPTV

Issues:
1. Internet -Connected BUT CANNOT Browse (CBCB)
2. Tried "Maxis Fiber" and "Maxis Fiber Special" same result.

Suggestion
1. Let user tag Internet VLAN on the WAN port under WAN option
2. Individual LAN port with individual VLAN taging and Trunk mode option for IPTV and VoIP in "Manual" mode under LAN-IPTV (this allow user to maximise their router usage)
3. Maxis Fiber Special renamed Maxis Fiber (HSBB)

For now, back to 3.0.0.4.260 for Internet access

by the way, does Asus have 8x GE port AP Router?

I still can't connect the router to the d@mn Unifi modem.  It's either the d@mn modem cannot detect the router as it does the DLINK router from TM or the router can't detect the lousy modem.   I honestly think its the d@mn modem's fault as the router can detect all the other things plugged into its WAN port (i.e. laptop, router, etc.)

When the modem is connected to the router via a LAN cable plugged into both item's WAN port, the router's WAN light does not blink at all.

I urgently need your assistance on this. If i really can't use this router, I might as well bring it back to the vendor and see if I can exchange it for another model.

And how to update to the latest firmware? do we need to backup the existing firmware before updating to the latest firmware,etc ?

I've been using RT-N56U for about 3 months now and recently I've been having this problem where I cant connect to the 2.4Ghz connection. With my laptop it'll either unable to connect at all or connected with limited access, no internet while for my phone (Galaxy S2) I cant connect at all.

5Ghz connection is fine except that the signal is not so strong when I'm in my room (router is downstairs), 2.4Ghz used to work just fine.

I've just upgraded my firmware to 3.0.0.4.342 but the problem existed beforehand.

What can I do to fix this?

edit: So after restarting both my laptop and modem/router, I managed to connect BUT, only for a minute or so before it failed and I couldnt connect to it anymore. 5Ghz is fine. This is frustrating, I've only been using the router for about 3 months and I dont even keep it on 24/7 (I switched it off when I'm not home)..

Currently I owned a domain and already point to ddns.he.net. When I set-up using tunnelbroker.net, I get the following error in my log ;

notify_rc : restart_ddns
ddns: clear ddns cache file for server setting change
ddns update: connected to ipv4.tunnelbroker.net (64.62.200.2) on port 80.
ddns update: bad request: Invalid API key or password

As per my understanding, the DDNS provide by tunnelbroker should point to dyn.dns.he.net
