Sometimes you can not trust what the forum people wrote, need to ask very specific things, got to treat them like baby and spoon feed right ? Reason is because ac86u 2.4Ghz can go up to 750Mbps, so 270Mbps is achievable for 2.4Ghz.

Thanks, but 160Mbps is achievable on 2.4Ghz, and it also depends on what time of day you do the speedtest, and like what the original person said, depends on servers too. so that's why 270Mbps on 2.4Ghz to me is also achievable, on AC routers.

Btw can RP AC55 support aimesh? I've got a free unit with the purchase recently but it seems it works only as an extender.

The ASUS DDNS only work only if the ASUS router is the main router.

You can use other DDNS service on the Maxis router and port forward to the ASUS router if you want to access it remotely.

Or change the ASUS router as the main router.

Why don't you just move your pppoe user and password from the Maxis stock router to your Asus router? Meaning that, you need to make the Asus router to become as your main router in order to use the Asus DDNS and AiCloud.

The astro decoder doesn't care about which router that you are using. If you are worried about this, you can change your asus router to 192.168.1.1 and maxis router change to 192.168.1.2. It's doesn't matter.

He's using astro IPTV... Not just astro with Internet for VOD. So it's a complex set-up with both IPTV VLAN and Internet.

If you good at ssh procedure, you can enter "top" comment on the terminal to find out which background program uses/utilises most cpu resources. Usually, as mentioned by bro/sis jusbella, torrenting is one of the cause, or a minor bug in the recent released firmware (only if you're using asuswrt). Try to reboot the router and see how it performs. Try to flash into merlin firmware to see if your cpu spikes or remains below 10% in its idle state. In some best cases, factory reset the router to see if the problem persists. 

LAN > Switch Control >  NAT Acceleration

Make sure set to auto and it shows CTF enabled

A few users of AC68U faced this problem already as discussed here. It is weird when I don't face such problem before.  Even loaded with a few scripts on my ac68u, the cpu still stays idle below than 10%. Have you tried to reset your router mate?
