ASUSWRT RC3 Beta is available

- New VPN client interface, much cleaner than before
- Assign device for specific VPN profile
- Wireguard VPN server/client

Great new features, something I will utilize on my daily life which is allocating the VPN just for my TV to access overseas content.

Hope they release the Instant Guard PC client soon if there's a plan for that. Instant Guard is probably the most underrated ASUSWRT function.

Currently the VPN fusion feature can also selectively enable certain client to use VPN, what is the diff ya?

ASUS enforced HTTPS on ASUSWRT to improve security

But due to certificate issue, it will show as insecure. You can ignore this and proceed.

I disabled and stick to http. Noted the page loading much slower on safari if using https.

Seems like the latest firmware 45898 released is buggy :

http://www.snbforums.com/threads/asus-rt-a...86_45898.75132/

I saw the update is available for my gx11000 main router and xt8 mesh node, guess I better not to click the upgrade button. Anyone out there upgraded and mind to share any issue ?

Great product although it's expensive. But it's super stable and problem-free. I highly recommend this product for those planning to setup WiFi in a smaller office.
Problem free on RT-AX92U.

System been up for 10 days. Rock solid and stable.

Upgraded and all good, thanks!!

I wonder why the wifi site survey is no longer working for 5ghz. Used to work for all, only 2.4ghz is working.

Hi,

I have checked and test the GT-AX11000. You will need to disable the 5GHz-1 160MHz for it to do active scan.

Once 160MHz is enabled AP will enter DFS band, and DFS band does not allow to do active scan.

Thank you
*
Oh ic. Will my wireless speed or performance negatively affected if I disabled 160mhz?

All my devices are on 5ghz-1 now. With a few light bulb on 2.4ghz.

Thank you

QUOTE(Mr.Wang @ Dec 5 2022, 03:54 AM)
For Asus TUF AX5400 users, do you experience the router having slow wifi speed after few days turning on the router? I have to restart the router after a few days because the wifi download speed would drop to 8mbps download. Upload speed is not affected.

My unifi is 800mbps. After restart the router, the wifi is normal 800mbps download and 200mbps upload. But after a few days leaving it turn on, download speed is 8mbps and upload is 200mbps.

I already upgraded the firmware to the latest and hard reset the router. Can't seem to fix it.
*
I hardly restart my Asus router, connection is consistently at 800mbps unless there is network issue with TM. Maybe once a month i do a manual restart or when there is a firmware update then i am forced to restart. I am on GT-AX11000. Did you try calling TM on this?

I am not sure if this is normal or not. I can’t seem to find out what device is the MAC address in the log. Currently I am facing intermittent internet issue on my iPad Pro m1. Randomly all out of a sudden, my internet connection on iPad will be gone though the wifi is full bar signal. Other devices like iPhone and my Mac Studio no issue.

Please help.

Hi neekun,

Can you try updating all the ASUS router to the latest firmware and monitor the connection again.

If it is still same, please disable the MAC address randomizer on the iPad and let the problem happen again.

After the problem occur, do help send a feedback using the router GUI at Administration->Feedback. Do PM me the email address used and the MAC address of the iPad.

You can also go through the Apple forum as well as I can find some people feedback WiFi problem with this iPad when Googled.

Thank you

I reboot both routers and so far log file is not showing the error. As of now iPad connection still ok. Will send the log and let you know if it happens again. Thank you.

For FC:67:1F:01:25:09 i could not detect what device is that. The following MAC addresses i managed to detect which are valid devices connected to my Wifi:

Can help to identify what the log indicates for MAC FC:67:1F:01:25:09?

Hi jiaen0509,

You still can use ASUS router router as AP AiMesh or second router AiMesh. But this will just limit to 1Gbps only as the optical network router only have 1Gbps LAN port.

Thank you
*
With GT-AX11000, can connect from TM modem to the router 2.5G port if TM is upgraded to 2Gbps ? Current me on 800Mbps and its connected to the WAN 1Gbps port.
